You're absolutely right but seeing as she's not a total waste of oxygen she realised that she had done something which was harmful to lots of people. She's a massive megastar who just about everyone in the world knows, what she did was not only compassionate but also showed that she has had a lot of growth with her own issues and is now trying to actively help people without trying to harm others in the process.

Taylor portrayed her experience and because of her body weight, she got hate for it. This wouldn’t have happened if she looked like Lizzo.
The media HAS actually called her fat and pregnant and even though neither of these things are a bad thing in itself, it sticks with you if it’s made clear that it’s not a compliment, especially as a young girl.
Taylor made clear it was her ED telling her that and that it’s NOT a good thing to think like that, so people getting themselves worked up about it are just projecting their own problems and insecurities, and worst of all: by participating in today‘s cancel culture, they are stopping people from talking about their experiences.

Having your body scrutinized by the media for years on end takes a toll on your mental health and how you see yourself. She was being told she was fat and that she was wrong for it. She never said being fat was wrong, it was the media saying that to and about her. She is allowed to have struggles. Just because they hurt your feelings doesn't mean they aren't valid. Just looking at the comment section, there is an overwhelming amount of support for Taylor. I literally haven’t seen one comment in favor of the “fat phobia” claim. Why are we catering to one, very small, and, quite frankly, obnoxious minority?? I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, but I remember her talking about how she was practically starving herself to stay thin. She had to overcome that and learn to love her body. The fat acceptance movement is supposed to be all about body positivity. How is this not a story about body positivity and self love?

Any of us who can remember being young may recall how body conscious we were, and we weren't in the public eye. When I look at the scale, in my head I see it read “fat” because of the numbers. That is what that scene was depicting-Taylor’s internationalization of numbers defining her, & how she sees her body image.

As someone who has previously been 200 lbs and has an ed, this is genuinely the dumbest thing the internet has ever done. This wasn’t fatphobic in the SLIGHTEST, it was her speaking out about her experience with her ed and I’m incredibly proud of her for being brave enough to do so. Sucks immensely that they had to edit the video.

If this is really a problem, why not just ban the whole video? Or, do you just hate the word fat? Why is it people who are on the heavier side get to say stuff about how they’re insecure about being over weight but people that are skinnier can’t talk about their struggles with weight… I mean body dysmorphia is a real thing! As an dude that grew up playing sports I totally get the struggle. People act like I have to be 300lbs to feel uncomfortable with my body.
I don’t understand why she had to edit this. This issue isn’t about fat shaming its dealing with people who struggle l, which includes Taylor Swift, with eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. People need to stop canceling people without knowing the whole story. Watch Miss Americana please. The issue leads to over 4 million deaths per year, which affects not just over weight but under weight and average weight people as well.

Taylor swift is the most humbled incredible person you could ever listen to. For fat people, go fix yourself since your so overly triggered, and get mental help. Try diet and exercise, and not starvation or drugs. If you hate your own fat, then fix yourself and stop staying in your head and fix your dark mentality. I can’t believe she had to edit her own video to cater to low self esteem people. Taylor swift is the definition of empathetic art and she’s amazing. Every single song and video she’s ever recorded all the way back to teardrops on my guitar. I’m fat phobic against myself 100% and I workout everyday to fix myself and to fight MY own insecurity. Oofta, it is not difficult. Stop trying to change outside situations to avoid deep rooted inner triggers and start facing them because you’re worth it.
