Funny, I was reading the comments and came past my own comments from 7 years ago, 5 years ago and I commented again 2 years. Now I’m back. I can’t get enough of this wonderful performance. It’s so raw and deep, beautiful. Tiamaa forever.
One of the greatest Samoan song ever written and one of my dad's favorite.
If there is a leader of the group - it is him. He may very well be the first rock and roller of Samoa. The pacific entertainment industry and the Samoa media needs to show some respect and honor this man with a life time achievement award. He's been entertaining generation after generation of Islanders with great songs and ass kicking guitar playing. People are still listening to Tiama'a and artists are still doing their songs. These guys ruled the 70s. Much respect🙏

Samoan Musicians of the 90s, 80s going backwards are still the best than those nowadays, All of them are TRUE ARTISTS, TRUE COMPOSERS, TRUE MUSICIANS etc. They composed very beautiful, meaningfully, significantly etc songs, also when they play the instruments, they are badass, the new generation of Samoan musicians cannot be compared to them. Many of the new generation rely on technology, also lots of them sing with weird lyrics. Hardy ever have or see any Samoan Bands nowadays that they can play all the instruments, they can't be compared to the AVA, Golden Aliis, Tusitala Band, Tiamaa, Punialavaa, Maatulua, Fauula, the Miller Brothers, to name a few. Can't find any Samoan band with somebody that can hit the drum sets anymore, only in the police band and in churches like Assembly of God etc. One of my favourite who is still kicking hard is Lesa Ilalio Tuanai, he compose, sing and play like other Samoa legends with so much talents. Sad/ hate to see and hear many of the new generation rely on technology especially on using the autotune.
MrJoegib I agree. I was born in Samoa, raised in NZ and have lived in Melbourne for many years raising my family. Tiamaa always takes me back to the first 8 years of life in Samoa. I will always love Tiamaa.

Watching and listening to Fafo and the Tiama'a as young Samoan musician is awesome and amazing.Then when their reunion New Zealand tour music came out,I began to believe that we haven't heard evenmore of their modern strymmz of Fafo and the Tiama'a is very top class.Now Fafo is more on his christian faith and singing from this video I think Fafo has still music unique,potential and greatness is not yet fully brought out for everyone to enjoy.I think if some of their Samoan songs have English subtitles music or even remix nowadays; its really top class music too to me,nevertheless its lovely and awesome still....As Fafo sings God rules outright!!!!!!!.
