Bettas in the wild live in puddles. They don't actually need a lot of room to service but I makes them happy. These are roughly .7 gallons per container and it is actually a great set up as long as there is a heater for the water to stay at the correct tempature and a huge filter to remove all the waist. Other than that the sizes are perfect
