ooooooooh man that brown GMC 950 with the sleeper juss about blew my mind. Oh and always nice to see a good old EMD GP60 Probably a 16v-710 engine, sound of heaven Detroit.
I’m so happy my volunteer fire department I run at still has the screaming Jimmy’s and 2 92 silvers one 8v92ta and the other 6v92ta and had an 8v71t plus we just retired our 1974 Howe international with a NTF365 CUMMINS and damn it ran great after they killed it and changed the engine over to an NTC400 big cam. The Jake on the 92s is mean with their straight 5 inch pipes. I love when we come down a hill and it’s an open cab so you are standing next to the engine and can go behind it to then the Jake rips. I made a video of me sitting in the back after we had it up at a class
Pending on year, Detroit came out with the Electric system in 1987 and CAT was second then Cummins in 1994. My station still has an NTC855 big cam mechanical. and ERGs weren’t a thing til 2004
2:40 i really love that fire truck, i dont see much classic ones around here, oldest one ive ever seen was from the 50’s, i also really love the red ward lafrance
I need to see to a Cummins V8 Diesel engines V504 ,V555 , V300 ,V265 , V903 and VT8 430 trucks videos especial and other series with rare engines on American trucks please
Nothing sounds better than a Detroit goose bumps everytime I here one
Hear*
Same here!!!
detroits sound better than a lot of new sports cars.
AMEN!!!!!!!
Yup
10-4!
Nothing like hearing the smaller 6 cylinder scream at close to 3000rpm!
“A lot” of new sports cars. I like cars and trucks, I wish I could combine the speed of the car and the sound of the trucks
Nothing much better than getting to hear an ol' school Detroit SCREAM going down the road. Stay safe.
That 1970 Ward-LaFrance fire truck sounds awesome! Nothing like a Detroit!
Classic fire truck power.
51 KMG365 out!
Looks like a few people hate good music
Love the sound of a 2 stroke diesel.

Dynamo Joe I’m an engineer and my company just got some new 2 stroke EMDs but I haven’t had one yet.
@@brianburns7211... What units did they get?.... what type? Who are you an engineer with? Class 1, 2 or 3 road?
The sleeper cab has to be a contemporary aftermarket product, but it's still worth it.
Such sweet, beautiful music. ❤❤
The 2 Brockways interior shots show that the drivers know how to wind them tight and shift them fast
My neighbor loggers had a skidder with a Detroit engine, you could hear it for miles, his wife knew when he was working and when he was at the diner.
A symphony of sound! A lot of good music has come from Detroit.
I will be thinking 2 stroke all day now!
Even poor little Greta didn’t thumb down this video 💯👍
How dare you lol
How Dare YOU! I shouldn’t even be here!
People are dying!
Nothing sounds better than Detroit diesel engines .
Yep
Not a fan.
@@kentuckycoalroller7593 then why'd you watch the video?
Idk just wanted to, just not a huge fan of them, too highpiched for me. I like a deeper rumble.
@@kentuckycoalroller7593 hmm i guess everyone has their favorite sounding diesel
Thanks for your videos great old general motors diesels worked on diesels for 60yrs you do such a good job of it ron rdzl om616
That golf cart guy at the very beginning almost panic braked when he heard that yellow beast!
Bloody awesome man thanks for putting this together!
Pure music to my ears
Music Man, Music!
The sound... Wauw!
Loved hearing all that sweet music.
For a V8 2 stroke diesel they do sou d pretty mean
Hehehe, that's the sound I like it!
So siiickkkk! Took my first cdl test in a 6-71 dump truck.
Awesome video. Love the sound of that Ward LaFrance fire engine.
An 8v71 does it for me 👍
Wonderful thank you!
Those mini truck things at 2mins or so look and sound awesome.

Ours has a 6-71 inline on a old bush truck
Are the 92 series new enough to have DDEC technology on them
The Silver is a DDEC 1 and 2, the later engines were 3s
So both fire trucks have computers on them and not a mechanical governor
Pending on year, Detroit came out with the Electric system in 1987 and CAT was second then Cummins in 1994. My station still has an NTC855 big cam mechanical. and ERGs weren’t a thing til 2004
That Sounds So Good
Amazing how high revving these ole Detroits are! They scream!
WOW!!! What beautiful music.
Awesome video thank you
Detroit diesel best sounding engines ever made!😎💪💖👍🇺🇸
Well done!!!!!!! That's epic!

Wonderful , america makes the best or waaaay koolest machines , me from sweden
its the only engine ever created that turns dino juice into pure unadaulterated noise.
Nothing like the sound of 2 stroke Detroit.
Anyone knows more about that racer #39 on minute 2:22?
I hope for a Mega Mix Volume IV of this!
We don't hear this sound enough anymore.
i work around the crane at the 3:10 mark often on wrecks. always thought of taking video of of it but never do. pretty cool some one did though.
I really miss the days when DD's were allowed to make fun sounds. These modern emissions choked up ones are so neutered.
the modern ones make A LOT more power on A LOT less fuel
They are pretty good at turning fuel into sound
The 8V71 is literally the sound of my childhood...
Great!
Yea, get one of them Set Up to tac out at about 5,600rpm's
and you're talking some serious power!
Those were the days.
nothing like the sound of 2 stroke diesel.
That brown tractor sounds similar to the green goblin western star does anyone know what engine was in that movie truck?
318
Freaking beast
Screaming Jimmy 🙋
Holy cow - more of that crane please!!!!!
Which one? Here is the 90 ton Lorain. I didn't get much more of the Pettibone sadly.

DETROIT DIESEL MUSIC SHOW!! ☺👏👏
Detroit Diesel: America’s “other national anthem.”
Being in the uk we never hear these sound good but sounds like the engines explode
I'd make a short flim about those Detroit Diesel engines
1:34 ~ 👌👌👌👌👍😎👍
What's that log truck at 5:05? Nice video!
1939 Peterbilt 260
@@craniostomy I don't think that is correct. I can't seem to find any Pete from this era with a cab this rounded. And the grill don't match either
Late 40's GMC

1:27 That is one of the most uniquely cool truck's I've ever seen.
GM 2 stoke power!!!
Looks and sounds like the second Brockway is running 100 mph😂
That's a Detroit for ya!
3 dislikes were maxxforce and Cummins
Let me play you the song of my people...
All fun till the rack hangs
Fantastico el rugir del dd cuando el motor esta bien trabajado es fuera de serie el motor que mas me a gustado trabajar la mecanica.
Anyone else think that golf cart was rolling coal? 😎
Scott Skinner where?
@@ancientmonkey5327 the very beginning. As im hearing an engine start, a golf cart passes by and I thought IT had the Detroit engine lol
@@scottskinner577 Ah, now I see. Thanks for responding. I do agree with your statement.
5/10. Not a single jake brake.
I love taking test because I always pass the exams and prepare for the next

I thought pornography is banned on RUclips
Freakin golf carts
