Rest In Peace Christine McVie who died today at the age of 79 following a short illness. She now joins Bob Welch and Danny Kirwan in that Great Gig in The Sky.
hot damn, this COOKS! Danny's wah-wah drenched work is ace! Love the "lay down ,lay down" refrain that Danny and Christine anchor the end with... "Future Games" is a severely underrated lp (as is "Bare Trees") RIP, Danny, Christine, and Bob.
I am only 52 years old raised with rock music from the late 60s early 70s and on. No mention of Fleetwood Mac earlier years i 😮 prefer this and so glad i have my own mind and taste.
This was recorded for the same episode of "Beat Club" (#68) as "Dragonfly", which is on YT elsewhere. But the show only aired that song, which IMO was a mistake. I prefer this. Indeed, I'm that weirdo who thinks THIS is the best FM. Thank you Peter Green, but I want more than Elmore James. And congratulations to Lindsey and Stevie, you're wonderful, you made great music, but I think this is better. RIP Bob Welch RIP Danny Kirwan RIP Bob Weston (not in the band yet, but if you heard his slide guitar on Murray Head's "Say It Ain't So, Joe", you know how great he was) And of course, RIP the wonderful Christine Perfect McVie. (I mean, Dave Walker and Doug Graves are still with us, but that's fairly peripheral, I'll admit.)
The Elmore James bit was Jeremy Spencer; Peter Green was a major innovator who expanded & went beyond the blues...Man of the World, Albatross, Oh Well, The Green Manalishi, Before the Beginning, Underway...
I prefer the Bob Welch era over the Buckingham/Nicks era, Kick ass song!
The Song is actually called "Lay it All Down"
Title of the song is Lay It All Down. From the Future Games album, 1971.

R.I.P. Christine McVie. 🙏✝️. I just now saw the news about it.
So much good music in the wilderness years
Danny baby
A great feel to this song. Bob Welch era with Danny Kirwin still in the line up.
Arguably the best era.
@@georgedavis9943 Sadly now Christine McVie along with Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch have passed on.
@@randallalan4221don't forget the great Peter Green
@@ogatinho17 You are correct!
All the albums with Danny Kirwan are great: Then Play On, The Kiln House, Future Games and Bare Trees.

Agreed.
This rocks, haven't heard Bob Welch sing until now.

For the studio recording they omitted the last part "lay down, lay down" which i think is the most interesting part on the song uu...
The best Fleetwood Mac line up!

Bob Welch was the Best Thing that ever happened to Fleetwood Mac.
Disparaging the talents of Peter Green and Danny kirwan. What gives?
No one knows about this stuff
We must make them aware
Future Games is a great album
Great job to the production crew waiting until the 2nd chorus to get proper lighting on the singer 😂
50 Years ago.
Much better than the studio version, despite the theatrics from the rhythm guitarist.
Okay controversial statement here, but when I hear this I think of the Ramones or The Dictators. And yes , I am a fan of both bands.

huh? this is called Lay it All Down.
Not Moses.
Um, this song is not called "Moses."
This has got to be the WORST song ever recorded or played by any band! 😄 Wow. Really stinks.
Its a good song.
Shut up haha
You have got to have the WORST opinion ever shared or talked about by any person! 😄 Wow. Really stinks.
@@reflection9924 Indeed, Bob Welch was outstanding
