Glad to see your channel is getting close to 100K subs. I've watched a few different MtG channels, but (IMO) Kenji has the best combination of subject knowledge, charisma, entertainment, and ability explain thought processes.
Surprised to see Get Out not make the cut during the build - I managed to get incredible value during prerelease with its second mode to choose whether to bounce my own enchantments on their end step while holding up the counter.
Sealed tends to be a lot slower, so it definitely performs better there. UU makes the card a 4 drop in most bicolor decks. I see it as a sideboard card for slower matchups or an in if you’ve got something like 11-13 blue sources.
if it's easy to deck out on a lot of the stronger builds, do you think it's worth considering going over the usual 40 in those colors? it'd be interesting if this format is one where it's actually in strong consideration to be closer to 50 or even a 60 card deck, given it trends slower and grindier but there's so much card draw and self-mill
erratic apparition is such a frustrating card. Wish it had been an 0/4 with flying, or just a 2/2. the 1/3 statline feels so bad. That said, bad beats all around.
If you know they have instant speed reanimate on vile mutilator why attack that turn? Of course it sucks to give up that tempo should they just hold up something else... but you could afford to play around in in that spot. They reanimate the mutilator you flash in the enchantment, sac it and sac the 2/2. then you still hold up removal spell. I think we punted.
I feel like you got some pretty rough variance in a few of these games. But for what it's worth you seem to have a pretty good attitude about getting hosed by randomness.
How do you see Zimone and think it's a bad card? Genuinely curious. If you play this on 3, it's a 1/1 + a 3/3 which is a great rate, and it's actually better than that because if they trade for the 3/3 you can get a 5/5 on your 5th land drop. Yeah, you don't want to play this when you make your 4th or 6th land drop, but so long as you're not doing that (and it's very easy not to), it's an above rate creature that threatens more long term value.
@@brianh5844 the conditions to it u need to play a land on the prime number then its a blank legendary token with just stats and the main creature is also a 1/1 only

nt Kenji
Agree
You don’t need to say IMO…since you’re saying it we know it’s IMO 😊
Kenji has been streaming Magic since before Richard Garfield was born.
100% Numot and GomletX are the 2 streamers that actually help me feel smart by explaining their picks & plays
Balloon man is nuts with eerie. You can target enchantment creatures and get more eerie triggers.

targeting only creature and enchant makes its range pretty close. too situational
On the way to 100k wooooohooo. That's RUclips babyyyy!
Innistrad! Good Innistrad is back! This set feels so good! 🤩
15:52 Glimmer Butt-Burst, i havent played against that one yet
This was a really cool deck I think, seemed decent enough. Rough games, but yeah I enjoy the losses in Duskmourn more than Bloomburrow :)
Interesting spellbook vendor tech, will try it out
27:00 we have a free block on one of their 2 power attackers.

azorius and fun can't co-exist in the same sentence xD

Drafted a nice agressive UW flyers today. Not lucky too, finished 1-2 on Bo3 and could not believe It.
Draft BO1 it’s the far superior format for drafting
On to 100K !
I am convinced the Azorius deck is actually cursed. Every time I've had it so far it ends up losing 2+ games to mana screw.
I actually went 7-2 in my first draft with UW, seemed pretty good.
erm how are you already mythic
Season did not reset yet. He was on the early access server, now hes back on main.
i dont watched the whole video yet but really zimone first pick? if i see a bad card thats on of them

Huh, usually those types of black effects have you lose life and not gain life.
Yea I thought that's a nice elegant play on the mechanic, weaker than normal black draw but opposite end of the blood payment
