My Yorkie has been diagnosed with PLE. Her albumin was 1.4. 1 week later it's 2. She continues to have very loose stools to diarrhea. She poops 4-5 times a day. She drinks a quart of water a day and pees constantly. Do you think she is getting better.

    Hi
Have a dog friend in the vet. Suspected salmon poisoning has been ruled out. Accute hemmoraghic gastroenteritis.
Low protien. Exposure to salmon / cooked shrimp, other fish possible.
Vets will not concede that it may be allergic and require some sort of steroid or costeroid. Will not adminisyer and claim there is no difinitive allergy test.
I have been suggesting it is proracted anaphylaxis based on the low platelets, protien' hemmoragic gasyroenteritis, wobnlyness, and edema.
Has been improving with fecal transplant and probiotics but still diahrehtic with blood.
Please help me make my case that the animal ought to be investigated for systemic allergy

My dog has something like this. I haven't even done one fourth of all these tests and spent $1200. Man I'd have to sell my house to do all of this. I just told them to give me some medicine if it doesn't work. I'm done. I don't even spend all that money on my health. The dog won't live long anyways, spending all that money is crazy

41 minutes in. I hear that human fecal transplants are highly effective. Some people pack their own “crapsules”. For real! 😆

I see you're internal medicine.I have a question... is there a specific dr who specialize in this disease?
My dog was diagnosed with PLE and his Dr is in internal medicine she put him on prednisone but wasn't working and instead he was having all the side effect, so she are switching to a different drug, but in the meantime he went back to the stage he was when she started seen him in emergency hospital. With diarrhea, vomiting, no appetite, huge belly and loosing mass. should i take him to see a specialist? Just to have another opinion.

She send to him Mycophenylate combined with Cyclosporine. What do you think about this treatment?
