Andyrfa : yes agreed on the point that India is a good market, at the same time India is also price sensitive market. if Honda wants to sell this as a CKD route the price can go up to 4 lakhs considering its feature so which will come close to 600 cc bike so people may not show much interest on 250 cc for this price. they have kawa z650 for 5 lakh. I believe Honda might launch CBR 300 which already there in other countries for a while now.

So Yamaha spent a year to sell 1000 R3s when this 250RR found nearly 3000 customers a month before the keys were handed to its first customer. Why would any sane manufacturer risk their money and time to give an ungrateful bunch of idiots their wishes when they don't even have the moolah to buy it?

UtdMan4eva I ride a 2012 cbr250r. I get through Texas freeway traffic just fine. Im just going to throw that out there before saying I would buy this in a heartbeat if sold here in the States.
I am German and i never saw 250ccm CBR in my life. 250ccm engines are not very common were I am from. You start on 125ccm and the next step is a restricted 600ccm. Nowadays we have 500ccm bikes like the CBR 500 which fits into 48hp limitation for drivers under 23. I was once on the Autobahn with my 125ccm Aprilia RS and was constantly overtaken by family vans and it had the same power to wight ratio as your bike. In Germany you need a 600ccm bike for driving at the left lane. But i have to admit your bike looks beautiful!
I don't get it, why are 125cc bikes are so expensive??, ex. I have an all new honda cb150r for $2000, but yamaha r125 cost $5380, and cbr250rr cost $5400, what's so special about 125cc bikes??
In Germany you are only allowed to drive a 125cc bike if you are only 16 years old. If you are 18 you can get a cc unrestricted license and two years later a power unrestricted. So if you want to drive a bike with 16 you have to get one of these. Maybe that's why. I drive a BMW S 1000 RR so I do not really know why bro.

Nice review man ! that road from Klungkung to Denpasar is one of the only road in Bali where you can speed a little, but it is also a really dangerous one as you never know what will cross it lol, a R1 is way too much for Bali, I've been touring with guys from Super Race Bali last month and we had 2 R1 joining, those bikes were way to fast and way too uncomfortable for Bali roads, a 250 is way enough, as you know we can't really use top speed here in Indonesia. i'm using a CBR 250 R from 2011, and I didn't try the new one yet, I will try to catch one this week end to see the difference. I don't know about mortality of bikes in Asia, or more exactly India and the neighbouring countries, but I know their CHAOS TRAFFIC is SAFER then our Western "civilized" one! they can pass WITHOUT a single crash or SCRATCH a total mess crossing, there are no lights, no lines, no top asphalt roads, and yet the traffic is FLUENT. IMHO we all should LEARN from them. (but, by no means I want to say with that, he is riding safe, not at all :D but that's just how it is outside of the borders of EU and USA)
Haha and this is 2017? 1991 Honda CBR250RR, inline 4, 45hp, 20k rpm rev limiter, 147kg, 200km/h top speed. All that from a 250 4 stroke. Of course with today's emission laws manufacturers won't spend so much on R&D or use good quality components on a small capacity motorcycle. Thanks Honda.

The bike belongs to my friend. Yes you can find an 01 to 07 R1 for roughly in between 70 to 100 million rupiah. But like I said, I don't think its a smart idea, you are better and much safer with a 250cc bike. Drivers in Bali are too unpredictable.

I've read few discussions as well while looking for news about launching in Malaysia but so far as for India, they said Honda don't plan to bring this model into India. As for Malaysia, it's already in planning tho

The fairings are so good looking, I wish 600cc and liter bikes looked that good. The newer 250's and 300cc bikes look the best, but with the power of a 600 they'd be the perfect bike for me.
William Ng Huge misconception about motorcycles. That motor has been redlined and tested hard before it even gets through quality control, which Honda is definitely a stickler for. Jake The Garden Snake has a great video explaining what the break in period is for and the best way to get the rings "seated" properly preventing "blow by". You have a short time to get the cylinder rings seated in properly and you need to ride it hard to accomplish that. I know some bikes come with a limiter during the break in period, but if you do your research you'll see that those are the bikes that have blow by and sacrifice horsepower and efficiency the most. Ride it like you stole it!! 👍
break in periods are pretty much a thing of the past. these things are now machined to such small tolerances that there not much break in to be done. Just like letting a car built in the last 10 years warm up by idling is causing more harm, once your rpm drop to idle its time to go. Plus Honda rips each bike through the gears to redline before they box them up. that is fresh off the line to being cranked and redlined. there is a video taken from a honda factory showing them doing this years ago. im still on the fence of this hard vs soft break in. No one has shown the same bike being done both ways and measuring the tolerances and blow by that everyone says happens. If someone does have a video or data proving it id like to see it.
We need more A2 bikes that look like sportbikes. Im glad that they are kinda starting to appear, in 2016 honda CBR250RR and in 2018 new 2019 Yamaha R3 also build more agressive. Love it.
Apparently the 250RR was just recently introduced in Thailand, imported from Japan. Highly priced bike for the CC that mimics a sport/track bike but is also good for daily use, especially in Thailand and Indonesia where traffic is crazy and roads are horrible making it difficult to reach top speeds. I would recommend this bike in Asia, awesome lightweight bike.
A slight mistake, the CBR 250 RR was first introduced in Indonesia, and this motorbike was produced there, and the builds in Thailand and Japan are purely Indonesian builds ,So this motorbike was assembled and made at Astra Honda motor (AHM) Indonesia , then imported to Japan, and there are slight differences for Japanese and Thai builds. The turn signal lights are placed on the side of the front body, while for the Indonesian version, turn signal lights are placed together with the eyebrow lights (above the street lights)

Okay, so I'm completely new to the motorcycle life, and to get started I bought a 2015 cbr250r repsol edition. I've gotten some shit from people because I'm starting on a 250 but I'm going to be honest, I enjoy my bike. The guy I got it from did some mods to it which actually cranks out a tad bit more power. Yeah it's not the best bike out there but for what I'm using it for, hell it's all I'm going to need so i can get used to riding this bottle rocket. By the way, I do enjoy this moto vlog, you killed it.

The bike belongs to my friend. Yes you can find an 01 to 07 R1 for roughly in between 70 to 100 million rupiah. But like I said, I don't think its a smart idea, you are better and much safer with a 250cc bike. Drivers in Bali are too unpredictable.

I've read few discussions as well while looking for news about launching in Malaysia but so far as for India, they said Honda don't plan to bring this model into India. As for Malaysia, it's already in planning tho

The fairings are so good looking, I wish 600cc and liter bikes looked that good. The newer 250's and 300cc bikes look the best, but with the power of a 600 they'd be the perfect bike for me.

William Ng Huge misconception about motorcycles. That motor has been redlined and tested hard before it even gets through quality control, which Honda is definitely a stickler for. Jake The Garden Snake has a great video explaining what the break in period is for and the best way to get the rings "seated" properly preventing "blow by". You have a short time to get the cylinder rings seated in properly and you need to ride it hard to accomplish that. I know some bikes come with a limiter during the break in period, but if you do your research you'll see that those are the bikes that have blow by and sacrifice horsepower and efficiency the most. Ride it like you stole it!! 👍

break in periods are pretty much a thing of the past. these things are now machined to such small tolerances that there not much break in to be done. Just like letting a car built in the last 10 years warm up by idling is causing more harm, once your rpm drop to idle its time to go. Plus Honda rips each bike through the gears to redline before they box them up. that is fresh off the line to being cranked and redlined. there is a video taken from a honda factory showing them doing this years ago. im still on the fence of this hard vs soft break in. No one has shown the same bike being done both ways and measuring the tolerances and blow by that everyone says happens. If someone does have a video or data proving it id like to see it.

We need more A2 bikes that look like sportbikes. Im glad that they are kinda starting to appear, in 2016 honda CBR250RR and in 2018 new 2019 Yamaha R3 also build more agressive. Love it.

Apparently the 250RR was just recently introduced in Thailand, imported from Japan. Highly priced bike for the CC that mimics a sport/track bike but is also good for daily use, especially in Thailand and Indonesia where traffic is crazy and roads are horrible making it difficult to reach top speeds. I would recommend this bike in Asia, awesome lightweight bike.
A slight mistake, the CBR 250 RR was first introduced in Indonesia, and this motorbike was produced there, and the builds in Thailand and Japan are purely Indonesian builds ,So this motorbike was assembled and made at Astra Honda motor (AHM) Indonesia , then imported to Japan, and there are slight differences for Japanese and Thai builds. The turn signal lights are placed on the side of the front body, while for the Indonesian version, turn signal lights are placed together with the eyebrow lights (above the street lights)

Okay, so I'm completely new to the motorcycle life, and to get started I bought a 2015 cbr250r repsol edition. I've gotten some shit from people because I'm starting on a 250 but I'm going to be honest, I enjoy my bike. The guy I got it from did some mods to it which actually cranks out a tad bit more power. Yeah it's not the best bike out there but for what I'm using it for, hell it's all I'm going to need so i can get used to riding this bottle rocket. By the way, I do enjoy this moto vlog, you killed it.
