- Today we took Henry (2-year-old Golden Retriever) to his first dock diving lesson and we learned a lot! We've never done "dog sports" but todays lesson may have set us up for new adventures in the future. Huge thank you to Train Your K9 Nashville for having us!
Remember that all dogs deserve to be trained on their individual needs and that what works for us may not work for you and THATS OKAY!

I think this is great and he’s your dog so you get to say what he needs. I think our dogs work so hard that they need things other than work for themselves. But things like this that support their training and behavior but let them have fun. I have POTS too by the way and PTSD it’s hard on our animals ❣️Good for you! 💜💜💜💜💜
PS: my SDIT would love this! Maybe next summer when he’s old enough, I will let him do this. But right now he’s going to have to enjoy his kiddy pool and fetch 😁

Do most golden retrievers like water?
They are bred to be in the water, very very few don't like the water.

My dog loves to run down the beach and catch frisbees!
I’ve been doing agility and flyball with my mini poodle for about 7-8 years now! She loves them both! So happy that you and Henry have found another thing to love doing together

I’m wondering if you might be interested in trading any service dog gear you no longer use. Specifically I’m looking for vests or nylon/biofane harnesses that would fit a 55-57 pound dog
