- Fresh Lemon Juice vs Bottled Lemon Juice. In this video, I'm exploring why I believe you should use a bottled lemon juice like ODK instead of fresh lemon juice from actual lemons! I'll tell you the difference between Funkin Lemon and Odk Lemon and again give you the pros and cons as to why I believe ODK is by far and away, the best brand for you to use in your Cocktails.

I haven't tried either for comparison - but are the supermarkets concentrated Jif lemon/lime equivalents not better value - other than that it's from concentrate it seems to be the same preservative, Potassium Metabisulphite. I'm sure it wont taste quite as nice being concentrate, but at less than half the price, though not a nice presentation bottle
Hey, apologies, I've only just seen this comment! Not sure how i missed it! Anyway... STAY AWAY from the Jif Lemon & Lime for Cocktails. Completely different products. They're fine(ish) for Food... having said that, many people would still never use them on Fish! (I'd personally never even put them on Pancakes!)They essentially give off a very different taste. Trust me...try it!! With Cocktails, the whole point of Citrus is to give that nice clean fresh taste, not something that tastes massively acidic...and is only really about 10% Citrus in a Bottle. So thats a Massive NOOOOOO from me, StB! haha.
@@drinkstuff Thanks - yes I did indeed decide to try making my first lemon drink yesterday, Lemon Drop Vodka, first one with fresh lemon, 2nd one using using supermarket jif equivalent just to see - my god it was awful that 2nd one :D Just aswell the drinks before had taken effect to help me not waste it :) I wonder what makes it so different then to the ODK as the ingredients basically sound the same. I tried the mexican elbow I had delivered the other day, and while it works, it's such a messy and hard job squeezing out an oversized lemon that wants to squirt out in all directions!! I wish fresh lemon juice and lime juice was much more readily available, I'll likely try one of the ODK ones out too. Bit confused. Do these bottles last about a year or 30 days. You seemed to contradict yourself. Is it a year if unopened, and then 30 days once opened?
No no. No contradiction...I made sure of that! 😂 a year plus unopened...depending on the date on the bottle. Opened 30 days Ambient
So concentrated lemon juice has no benefits
Not really. Just in sheer taste comparisons, it’s terrible. Just look at all the extra ingredients.
