Em, what really struck me about this is how much you enjoyed doing this cover. The joy is obvious in your facial expressions and body language. One of the things that was so appealing about Elvis was how much he enjoyed performing, and he always semed to be having fun. You radiate such a positive vibe here.
Colddplay songs are really suited to you. You would be a great lead singer for them.
What hit me the most about the song itself is at 2:43: "For you I'd bleed myself dry, for you I'd bleed myself dry". To me, that is what love is all about. Giving everything you have to the person you love. Making the effort without counting the cost.
Men and women both must give their all for the benefit of the other person. To make whatever sacrifices are necessary to help the other person in bad times, but always cherishing the good times.
The ultimate sacrifice a man should make for his woman is to be willing to die for her. As Abraham Lincoln called it, "to give the last full measure of devotion". If a guy isn't willing to do that, he's "yellow", that is to say, a coward.
