I have one of these. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent sounding mid sized combo. Great for old school tone or fantastic modern sound, like slapping. You can even get a great Jaco tone too, very versatile. Down side is, it's a bit under-powered. 200watts and 1-12" won't blow the walls down, BUT the DI is great ! I use it as my bass monitor on stage and let the FOH system do its job. Its just fine for practice and lower volume gigs.
Have never had anything but good luck with SWR amps, went from an Ampeg SVT3pro into an 8x10 to a workingman 400 into a 4x10 and 1x15. Managed to keep $500 in my pocket and saved my back after the deal was done. 6 years, zero issues.
I have this and have played a lot of gigs with it. Great sound but found it very difficult to hear what I was playing most of the time. Best way to fix this was turn the gain and the mids way up and roll the bass back a bit. Difficulty cutting through (and consequently having to turn up) led to a lot of issues with bandmates and sound people though which wasn't fun.
well if by flashiest you mean having technique with double thumb stuff and a 100000 notes per sec. tapping, yes he isnt ,but he is one of the studio greats and from what i ve seen live he s a great groovy player with awesome vibes:D(imo he s world class!,but i agree with you that he speaks pearls of wisdom:))
I discovered similar info about ampeg...they are not really ampeg anymore. They are owned by a big corporation now. made in china. I purchased a ba112 and really hated the controls, only one position gave me a nice tone. It seemed cheaply constructed. It did not have near the versatility and features as this one. I returned the ampeg, and ordered one of these. I have played a Hartke kickback 12 and am happy with it, good punch, but it has some limitations like no tweeter.
Fender built amps are simply not reliable, fender has never been recognized as an amp builder, that's why they buy companies like swr...and run those decent names into the sewer...swr amps suck and I can prove it.
sinn catha what??! I can just about guarantee that you have never played through a real Fender tube amp, not that you deserve to, if you could afford to. The Fender Deluxe is the most recorded amp in history for a good reason, and you’re on RUclips making ignorant comments for a reason, you can’t play and you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground.

While not the flashest of players this guy always speaks pearls of wisdom.
I get to have brunch with this guy today.
Such an honor!!!

This SWR sound is totally I want!!!
It does not have a sub-bass. It has the bass intensifier, which acts as a low bass booster.
Its loud too sounds great
My friend has this combo and he suggested it to me. It sounds amazing, but I was wondering if the 15 would be better.
❤
"blending and letting the houseman do his job with the sound". Boy Dave, you're a trusting soul LOL.

Fender has never been recognized as an amp builder? Ever heard of a Twin? Get off the glue.
