@@stardevilyn still impressive tho. theres people that have lived here for decades and still have a foreign accent. reaching native level pronunciation to the level that you even have a local accent takes a ton of hard work
She learned English at a young age. The Japanese town that she's from has a lot of American military personnel who influenced her as a kid. When she was 19 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and lived there for 5 years before moving back to Japan after her American husband's death.
RASEN in Okinawa, Bad Bitch Bigaku, Queendom, Partition are my favorite Awich songs, so I cannot wait for her to blow up in America with this upcoming English Album 💿🫡🎤🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥!!!
How did you first discover Awich?
098TV!
in Okinawa, TV show!
TEE TEE TEE project in Okinawa and Vogue interview in 2014.
She was already famous artist in Japan when I have known her in 2022 when she’s released Queendom which had a huge impact on me!
88RISING has been my favorite Japanese label for awhile, I’m a fan of ALL their artists ❤❤❤
They treat all their artists like family.

Crazy that she is full Japanese but sounds like (talks like) she grew up in the South Bronx 😄😄
right? its seriously impressive to reach that level of fluency in a language youre not native in, you can tell she does a ton immersion
There was a period in her life she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She got a degree from University of Indianapolis.
