Absolutely the summit of motorsport broadcasting! I wait every year for this weekend, thank you so much for this. John, Andrew, and all of the people who work to make this event happen, thank you. All those car clubs, those who bring their treasures to race and display, thank you. Sharing these beauties is a kindness. Thank you. I can't afford to be there live, so this stream is priceless. Never think that all of your efforts aren't appreciated. Bless you all. Stay safe and thank you for being the caretakers of these cars.
Apart from when they can't say a name right, a name that's been around for years that they used to get right lol Gounon has suddenly become Gunion for some reason lol
Slow motion racing! Why didn't I think of that? It's quite relaxing and somewhat therapeutic. I feel better already... - Real racing cars with real racing car sounds. Excellent coverage of superb competition racing cars. Thank you!!!
Group C/IMSA GTP is hands down the best era of racing ever. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to see those monsters race in person back then. Thanks for posting this up and PLEASE host more events like this for us fans. I'd much rather see these cars out racing vs sitting in a garage somewhere.
Thank you for your message ! We are hosting about 10 events per year, and two are live on RUclips (Le Mans Classic and Estoril Classics). But the best place is on the track so see you there 😁🏁
I hear a lot of younger people saying Group C are their favourites too! I've followed sportscar racing since the mid-70s and they are still the best, IMO. Sadly, good thought it is to see them as classic racers, these events are nothing like the races in period - Treat yourself to some annual review or race review videos and see them running in TRUE anger! The latest Hypercars are a promising period of sportscar racing (I'm off to Monza to see them in a few days!) and next year could be getting close to Le Mans 1990. Let's hope no-one tries to kill it as a result! BTW, the black stripe on the Aston was there in 1989, in honour of ex-Team manager, John Wyer. Some white text was added to it when David Leslie died.
Wow, thanks for this coverage! Just wonderful. BTW, the water in my sink goes down the wrong way but I remember an antipodean, from a famous Australian racing family, winning Le mans 24h, in a Peugeot, in 1993? No? On, 'ya Geoff!!.😄🧐🤓😎
Geoff Brabham is the man, I was lucky enough to watch him race the Nissan GTP ZX Turbo and the NPT 90,91's. I got to meet him a few times in the paddock. He's a cool guy. I was bummed to see no Nissans entered this race from IMSA GTP or Group C.
One reason for the success of these "classic" formulas is the sad state modern motorsport - full to the brim with PR talk, madly overcomplicated cars, subscriptions required to watch the races.... I started following WEC lately but honestly, I'm getting already bored - it's more like a pitstop championship, due to the rules forcing the top cars to have nearly identical performances. Also, the cars are nearly perfect, driving like on rails. For people who are old enough to have watched motorsport in the 80's and 90's, todays formulas are really disappointing.

Thank you!
Very expensive rare hypercars and unicorns in that first race.

videogames would have to be the main reason why

...Okay who transferred my Assetto Corsa preset to real life seriously wtf
I kind of wish i knew what this is referring to lol
@@kylefenrick9168 assetto corsa is a racing simulator video game.
Ironic! A MC12 run after not been homologates for run in Le Mans by ACO.
Old racing cars sound are brilliant❤
Wonderful!
Very beaty cars, toyota gtone my favorite❤❤

Peugeot 905 evo 🇫🇷
Sadly nobody told them, that the d in Collard is a silent d....
Man, I feel like these awesome races always happen in crappy weather. When can we see Group C mix it up with the later prototypes?!
Eye need some new I's after watching this ... and a splash-and-dash for tear-fluid.
Holy!All Halo cars!
Who is the owner of that Gt One? 😮
Francois Perrodo
Real engines
Lot of Gran Turismo cars here😅
So since this is classic they removed the chicanes right?
The chicanes are still there 🧐
Imagine when they start letting lmp1s in, like seeing the 919
I think the 2014-onwards LMP1 cars are too expensive and advanced for the brands to sell them to privateers
Give it a 5-8 years and we'll likely start seeing them in historic races
Awful !
I so do not like the prototypes of that era
@@LukeTansiongco Only if rich sports car drivers have the money to buy them
They will soon allow 919s and all other contemporary cars (pre-hypercar era).

I was lucky and old enough. Sadly true what you say, albeit the last WEC race was indeed interesting, the two leaders barely 3 seconds apart.
