This what if was one heck of a cosmic ride. Man. I liked this, alot! My only sort of gripe, was never seeing a moment where Gine reunited with both Granpa Gohan and most importantly, Bardock, and expressing her adventures and how she felt over decades of being on earth, and even how much her sons grew. I think that, would make even someone like Bardock proud of not only his sons, but be really happy for her, despite his brute exterior. Anyway. This was one heck of an What if, and I can't wait to watch more of these what ifs happen!

That being said, I feel like after Vegeta came clear to Gine and during the times of Super, he and Goku would eventually mellowed to each other and be more like in cannon.

I can’t believe that this is the end of What if Gine went to earth with Goku this journey with Gine has been very engaging and this has become one of my favorite what ifs Masako. If I would change anything, it would be that Gine was there during the final atonement in place of piccolo. She initially still absolutely livid with Vegeta, although it simmers down with him hugging trunks for the time that he does( her understanding what Vegeta is now intending to do). She then has a “final” confrontation with Vegeta answering his questions with a bit more vinegar than piccolo; then she in a final moment sees that for the time that they have avoided one another, he changed just enough for this single action to actually be genuine, and not just his pride. They are by no means friends, but they don’t outright hate each other anymore.

Honestly, my favorite "what if" story line. You've really done justice for the character potential the Gine possesses and this ending really wraps everything up nicely and without any if the rehashing you mentioned. Stellar!
What breaks my heart isn't just the fact that Gine gave her life to make the lives of her two sons enjoyable and loving...despite the Saiyan Prince's snark. It's the fact that somewhere....in the vast realms of the multiverse....he's gone mad with anger and rage....because the Prince cheated. Goku...Kakarot...whoever it may be...in the next part of "What if Vegeta went Super Saiyan first?"...put the prince in his goddamn prince. For you...and your mom.
This has been possibility the most emotional what if I've heard on this channel, especially this part. I had to stop partway through the video to cry when grandpa Gohan passed. You really did both him and Gine justice with this story. Thank u, Masako

Never in my life had I needed a 'What If?' story and not known it until it was presented to me. Thank you, Masako. I look forward to watching your next story unfold.
"He was not his best buddy" Me: :O no Vegetto or Gogeta??? My heartaches. That rivalry between the two might have made Vegetto's fusion slightly stronger and definitely would have added more depth to the relationship of Goku and Vegeta. Goku (Kakarot) hates Vegeta for all he's done to Gine, and Vegeta hates him as well, that DEFINITELY would have made Goku's plea for fusing into Vegetto against Buuhan even more emotional.
You had me in tears at the end. Truly the best what if not only on your channel but on youtube. As much as I wish it was longer, i think you truly came up with the best ending for Gine's story. Thank you for this!
Just imagine her reaction to hearing vegeta using pacifier in the copy vegeta arc, externally she's normally, internally she's bawling her eyes out at the idea of that
Okay, yea. This was by far my favourite what if of yours, i loved the theme of morality you managed to include with gine, as it gave a refreshing and very much grounded feel to dragon ball i haven't seen nearly at all in fan interpretations of those stories. You treated those characters extremely well, and i could feel like you were pretty familiar with them, which is a massive bravo to you. The Gohan scene at the beginning was wonderful, and so was the ending you gave to gine I would go as far as to say this was honestly the best way you could conclude the series, with vegeta learning humility and the strongest mama herself recieving what she needed since the cell games; a break. So concluding, well done masako, this was not only a great dragon ball story, but a great story all together.
This was the ideal way to end her story, very touching and heartwarming. Would have loved to have seen her reunite with Bardock in Otherworld, but that can be left to imagination, excellent work Masako.
Whenever I got to do an opening shift at my work I put on these what if. I’m usuLly alone for a few hours before someone comes in so these stories I’ve missed on I’ve blazed through in basically a day. This one was really great and did actually make me emotional during the cell arc. Seriously your getting really good at these stories keep up the good work
fyi you're my favorite DB based channel. The quality and care you put into your alternate timeline videos makes it worth tuning into just about everything you put out and I have very few channels that get that level of interest out of me. Keep up the good work and stay safe!
This has been a great exploration/expansion for Gine's character. At long last the mother of Goku gets a decent outing and it's been a fun ride. Adios to the world's strongest saiyan mama.
Found myself getting a little emotional at the end of this one. While I was a little disappointed at first she wouldn't figure into the super arcs like she'd been throughout the previous parts, this does seem like a fair and justifiable end to her story. Thanks so much Masako for putting the time and effort into all these stories, in a time where mine and many others options have become limited with how we spend our day-to-day your what-ifs are one of the few things I look forward to the most each week.
We’re all going to dearly miss the world’s strongest mama, but at least she lived a remarkable life and whooped tons of butt doing what she could to help her babies. Gine will always be the best! Thank you for this amazing story Masako. ♥️
It's sad to watch and listen this story come to an end, but knowing you, MasakoX, it's gonna be a great one! What a wild ride Gine had sharing all those adventures with Go- I mean, Kakarot! Keep up doing great stories and videos, man!
This story, out of all the one’s done on this channel, is my favorite. I liked the other stories like, “What If Raditz Turned Good”, or “What If Goku Married Bulma”. But this story is one that I looked forward to the most. Gine going from a chef, to the world’s strongest mama, to being a great-grandmother, all of it was fantastic. A great way to end the story, and I look forward to seeing what other What If’s you have in store for the future.
This story was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the Same time, I absolutely love your stories for the effort put in them, so much emotion and life yet still so realistic to the original story’s theme
I was mad that you were ending this because I thought you were going to end it after the Cell Games, but you went into the Buu saga, which joyed me greatly and now I will say happily, I enjoyed your Gine story, I just wish it didn't have to end.
You did right by her. You gave her a good story and a good ending. Thanks for doing this. Can't wait to see how the stories with Hercule and "Boxa" go.
i love every moment of this series :) from start to finished, just hope there would be a GT sequel version of this What If story :). Gine's what if is my all time favourite series of all time.
This is an amazing way to end a what if, I honestly was crying on the inside knowing that it would eventually end, but this was definitely the best way to do it, thanks for another great what if story Masako.
What an absolutely fantastic series. This was amazing to watch, I was so invested. I loved Cell as a character here, as well as Raditz, and the changes with Vegeta. Always an asshole, and he ultimately apologised in his own way, but I'm glad the Sons didn't forgive him. Your mind is overwhelming, I love how you come up with these amazing scenarios that feel even more fulfilling than canon!
I love the entire “What is Gine went with Goku to earth?”. I’ve only seen Gine in the Super Broly movie but when I saw her I wanted more of her and seeing how you made a great fan story if she went with Goku, the only thing I would of slightly change would be the ending, i would of have it be her last day. Goku comes to visit his mother to see how she’s doing. Opening the door Goku says hi mom but Gine says nothing, Goku wondering why she didn’t respond he walked up closer and repeated what he said and after a minute he realizes what has happened and falls to his knees, crying knowing she has moved onto the other world. Then after she is buried next to a remade tombstone of grandpa gohan. Everyone who was her friend was there. Then it shows raditz who came back hearing about his mother passing and Goku standing next her grave looking at it silently as in the sky (kinda like at the end of cell saga) a old Gine is looking down at them with her smile on her face next to grandpa Gohan.
Grandpa Gohan's final farewell was so touching Masako. I really wasn't expecting to cry today. Gine's story has wrapped up perfectly nicely done! Gine's What If series has been my favorite series to listen to.
I imagine the Gohan and Goku fusion going a lot like the "[What-If] Gohan Caught The Potara Earring..!! Gokhan VS Super Buu." video that Hyourinjutsu had made, which is kinda awesome to think about.

I just realized it be funny if Beerus and Champa argues and then Gine ends up being able to control them like if she's their mama lol
Gine was retired at this point, it would have been quite close to "What if Raditz turned good". That tale has been told :)
It would be funnier if Whis restores Gine's youth and prime like when Vegeta offered himself as the new God of Destruction
@@championblackwolf3388 I know, but Masako is good at making what if's, at least he should include Raditz in T.O.P and for fun in Potafu Arc

I can’t believe that this is the end of What if Gine went to earth with Goku this journey with Gine has been very engaging and this has become one of my favorite what ifs Masako. It’s fitting end for Gine’s story to end with her retiring from fighting and her becoming a great grandmother to Pan at the end of z.
_"There is no Dragon Ball GT. Moving on..."_
We'll have Super next lol
The thumbnail looks cute
I wish I could hug kid pan
She's adorable
Grandma Gine still looks nice despite her age
It's a shame Pan's character went nowhere in GT. Hopefully future installments of Dragon Ball will get it right.

Awesome.
I still can't believe Gine lived so long. Also how old was Grandpa Gohan when Giene and Kakarot crash landed on earth?
About sixty?

Yeah this is perfect. It's a full circle. Damn my heart is just...damn
Wow, MasakoX
Thank you for that I totally think you did a great job, Gine deserves that.
I now know why Kakarot is so powerful.
The ending is perfect for Gine.
Wonderful story from start to finish.
This has been possibility the most emotional what if I've heard on this channel, especially this part. I had to stop partway through the video to cry when grandpa Gohan passed. You really did both him and Gine justice with this story. Thank u, Masako
It’s been a fun adventure Gine, and thank you for this amazing What if Massako, this will always be my 2nd favorite What If
Thanks for this it was a fantastic story and honestly for differing reasons tied with the Raditz story for my all time favorite; sigh now I just wish this what if could be animated haha; Thanks again
I like the idea that Pan calls Gine, gran gran (as in double grandma) as it’s her great grandmother.
Never in my life had I needed a 'What If?' story and not known it until it was presented to me.
Thank you, Masako. I look forward to watching your next story unfold.
I am not crying .... my eyes are sweaty....
"He was not his best buddy"
Me: :O no Vegetto or Gogeta??? My heartaches. That rivalry between the two might have made Vegetto's fusion slightly stronger and definitely would have added more depth to the relationship of Goku and Vegeta.
Goku (Kakarot) hates Vegeta for all he's done to Gine, and Vegeta hates him as well, that DEFINITELY would have made Goku's plea for fusing into Vegetto against Buuhan even more emotional.
Maybe against Black. By that point, I think things would’ve mellowed out enough between them.
He wouldn’t be called gogeta since goku the name never existed
@@purpleheartneptune6267 Probably Kaketa
Song of the day: Radio Ga Ga
I like to think Gine spends some time watching birds with 16
You had me in tears at the end. Truly the best what if not only on your channel but on youtube. As much as I wish it was longer, i think you truly came up with the best ending for Gine's story. Thank you for this!
Everything ended up being good for Gine, she ended up loving it all......... That is Until GT Timeline showed up!
Don't give me false hope.
Gine's story is done.
It's over. Isn't it?
Just imagine her reaction to hearing vegeta using pacifier in the copy vegeta arc, externally she's normally, internally she's bawling her eyes out at the idea of that
I love this. I bet if Roshi knew that Gohan was dying, he’d of tried to make it so Gohan could’ve lived longer. Like how Roshi is long lived.
The Gohan scene at the beginning was wonderful, and so was the ending you gave to gine
I would go as far as to say this was honestly the best way you could conclude the series, with vegeta learning humility and the strongest mama herself recieving what she needed since the cell games; a break.
So concluding, well done masako, this was not only a great dragon ball story, but a great story all together.
Masako, that was beautiful. Thank you for giving this story a proper end 😊
Kudos, Masako. This was one invigorating tale. Gohan’s passing left me teary-eyed, which isn’t easy to accomplish. Again, well done.
A beautiful and poetic end to an incredible story. Thanks Masako. Never stop spinning yarns.
Using your podcast soundtrack as background music Masako? That hits hard in the feels, especially for the end of THIS What-If. It’s been a wild ride.
Dang it, where are my tissues? I'm not ready for this.
You're welcome. :)
Very well done Masako, I rolled a tear at the Gohan scene, I did.
Masako could be the ultimate troll with all the voices he could do.
I love how Raditz, in the middle of this fight is like “that’s how you greet your bro?!”
From strongest mama to strongest grandma to strongest great grandma
I’ve been following this since the beginning and it’s sad to see it end but I’m glad she got such a happy one.
This story was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the Same time, I absolutely love your stories for the effort put in them, so much emotion and life yet still so realistic to the original story’s theme
The perfect end to the perfect story, well done MasakoX.
Wahhhhhh!!! I was waiting for this for a long time
Those actual tears building up in your eyes while you talked about Gohans death really shows me the emotional investment you put into this what if.
I didn't expect that to happen, truth be told. It's just saying it out loud just hammered it home.
I throughly enjoy the passion you put into your what if’s good sir thank you for everything you do for your fan base.
Another what if: Salza: Shot the ship down. Cooler: Cool.
Well all good things must come to an end, and man was this good
That’s how gine her story end
Thank you masakox
This is an amazing way to end a what if, I honestly was crying on the inside knowing that it would eventually end, but this was definitely the best way to do it, thanks for another great what if story Masako.
AHHH The ending was so wholesome Masako you madlad thank you for telling this story! it was so fun to watch
The Song at the start was great! You got some pipes, bro! I think this was a great send-off for Gine
😭 There’s so many onions.
Yes, onions.
I loved this story so much!
Thank you Dude! Thank you!
Gine "If only there where some sort magic dragon wishing orbs that could restore my youth.....oh well."
Gine is such a gem, and I’m so glad she got to have the lovely life she so deserves in the end. Well, done, Lawrence! Brava!
I imagine the Gohan and Goku fusion going a lot like the "[What-If] Gohan Caught The Potara Earring..!! Gokhan VS Super Buu." video that Hyourinjutsu
had made, which is kinda awesome to think about.
Thank you for making this series. It was a wonderful thing to listen too. This series is what got me to listen to your other what if.
You're singing is wonderful Masako! Though, I have to ask, did you take classes or is your voice natural?
Practice in my own time. I'd love to take signing classes when things settle b
