I never really appreciated just how integral Bruce Campbell’s narration was in making Spider-Man 2 a classic PS2 game. A tips and tricks system that’s both informative and irreverent, voiced by a guy who was clearly having a great time in the recording booth.

Imagine Bruce Campbell in Balan Wonderworld: Everyone looks at the controller and whines ''All buttons do the same thing.'' Hey, don't look at me. I'm only here to teach you how to play, for a hefty paycheck of course.
Hey, surprise me. At the 57:52 mark in the video, sounds like Bruce is doing an informercial for Low-T. Yeah, I'm having some trouble. Yeah I splatter a couple times on the ground. Once or twice. But thanks to Bruce's product, Bruce-T, I'm now able to jump from a building I can swing from. I can now charge my swing for a little bit more hang time.
Bruce Campbell:Well I'm not sure how you managed to DIE! I mean, seriously, unless you're a professional game tester, there's no reason for you to be dying yet. Oh, and if you ARE a professional game tester... (Stammering)...good job! Keep up the good work. Of course! (Chuckles) Every hint marker in the city is a direct line to me for a special piece of information, advice or...I don't know, what have you. Oh, and you'll get some hero points too. In case you're into, you know, WINGING! You know, there's over 200 hint markers scattered around the city. And if you actually manage to hit them all, I'll be impressed because that means you need a lot of help. If you played the last game, and I'm sure you did, you probably noticed that things are a little different this time around. We hope you like the changes. Oh, and if you haven't played the last game, what are you waiting for, a written invitation?! You know, swinging is a funny thing. Seems like everyone has their own way of doing it. I'm not gonna say one way is better or anything, but if you're crashing into things all the time, or missing your turns, maybe you'd better try a different technique.
While the game was good on its own, Bruce really added the spice that helped make the whole thing all the more memorable. The dry sarcasm of the hints/tutorial were my favorite joke and I found all the hidden hints in the game not for the completion but for the monologues. "...oh! Too much mustard..."
I remember getting trolled by that as a kid. "Find every hint marker to hear the Narrator say something different!" Me: Finds all hint markers, eagerly interacts with another one to hear him say something different. Narrator: Something different. Me: Oh...
Yes, originally the Lizard was planned to be in the game, there’s concept art of him along with Kraven and Calypso out there along with already recorded lines for him and Kraven, and as well as that in an early trailer for the game, the Lizard makes a brief appearance at the end. However somewhere during the games final stages of development, the Lizard/Kraven and Calypso storyline was scrapped and instead was recycled in Spider-Man 3 the game. Edit: Although strangely enough, there are still some fragments left in throughout the game that you can find. For example in one of the comic shops on the wall you can see some of the as mentioned concept art of Lizard, Kraven and Calypso. Speaking of her, once you beat the game there is a challenge arena you can unlock in the upgrades store and in one of the challenges there are lizard enemies you can fight and also Calypso is in it as a boss. This leads me to believe that the whole Lizard storyline might have been scrapped very late in development.
They should've brought him back for PS4 Spiderman.
I honestly would love that. Maybe in the sequel?
True but what role what he play because the game dosent't have a narrator
