Lady, you'd be better off watching many of the original band's live performances, which are available on RUclips. I believe the only original member of the band, currently and for the past several years, is guitarist Tony Hicks. Neither lead singer Allan Clarke, Graham Nash has anything to do with the "Hollies."
Don't get me wrong !! Its just great that you have discovered the Hollies !! But realy you haven't heard of Allan Clarke ?? Anyway: Thanx for sharing !!
It's great to see and hear these groups who can still perform live. Allan Clarke is one of a few lead singers who has taken good care of himself and still be able to deliver that unique voice. Although he retired from performing in 1999, but returned in 2019. Great sound!
He estado ahorrando mucho para ir a ver a The Hollies, es verdad.
To all original hollies fans if you would like to remember the hollies look out and try and buy the cd of the hollies .Iive in new zealand it is well worth buying and I still b wonder today why did they record a hollies live In new zealand ?
I have a hard time with this. God bless Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott but with a group of other players they just aren't the Hollies to me. They're a tribute band. Alan Clarke and Graham Nash, along with Tony Hicks were the "sound", the trademark, the signature of what made this group special. Carrying on after Graham Nash's departure they could still carry that sound forward but when Alan retired...in my mind that should have been that. It's like Garry Peterson and Jim Kale touring as the Guess Who. Without Burton Cummings who are they kidding? They're taking money from people who don't know any better. With respect to Tony and Bobby who are both terrific, do you really need to do this?
Terry Sylvester was an excellent replacement for Nash. He had the youth and the high Tenor needed for the songs. This lineup featured was just not good at all. It sounds like a local bar or pub band.
@pilesovinyl I agree with what you're saying but unless you had songwriting credits on the hits then you have to keep working to keep afloat, if it's either get a job in a bakery for minimum wage or make some reasonable money off something you love doing that you're famously associated with, I know what I'd choose, even if it's a shadow of its former self
I'm glad they do it! The original ones are still the originals and I would rather see them than not. I appreciate it a lot. We're losing a lot of these talented people... they are getting old, along with their fans. Appreciate who we have left. And they sound great, even though some of them aren't original members. We fans are lucky.
I've been a fan of the Hollies for over 40 years but it might be time to wind down. The voices and harmonies are a little frail now and some of the higher notes are eluding them - sorry chaps!
I no what you saying my friend. I know. Tony hicks. Might be a long time ago. He lived near me in 1955 Nelson lancs pendle. So hm most days come back from school. Says to me he cude play a guitar chords. He had private. Lesson. But he not as good now. Needs to retire from it. 🇬🇧😂🙏
They're not bad, but Alan Coates (the post Terry Sylvester - and Graham - high harmony, rhythm crack man) sounded a lot more like Graham than Steve Lauri - and he left when Allan did. Miss that Clarke-Nash- and yes, Hicks combination.
My think s is average good. The singer is good but seems to be in a big trouble when he have to hit the upper notes. Tends to get an over forced singing voice and that ruins the lot for me.
Very good musicians playing HOLLIES music….but they just don’t sound anything like the Hollies… A bit like The Everly Brothers…without Don and Phil, or Simon and Garfunkel…without either..
Very sad. No high notes at all. Weak lead singer and the high harmonizing singer could barely be heard at all. It’s a nice lounge club act but should not be billed as The Hollies.
I only videotape what was in front of me I could not see Bob Elliot and I would love to have had him in the video but we were on the ship. Thanks for viewing
I just want to say this is my first time hearing the Hollies. I videotape to share what I love on the flower Power Cruise♥️🛳️🎸🛳️♥️

Tony Hicks is a living legend 💙
Tony Hicks was just 17 when he joined the Hollies. I really miss Allan Clarke.
Wow id love to see them , tony hicks is awesome i play their music on my guitar thanx for the post!
Rock on!
I don't know about the others but I think this version of The Hollies is just terrific. Come to Saratoga Winery in 2023! Please!
Tony Hicks!!!! So underrated throughout music history! I still have the hots for him!!! Lol😮

That's not Mr Clarke!
@@hardlines5472 Good for you! You get a gold ✨️ star!
@@richardhernandez488Bad on you, you get a fail.
It may not be the most famous line up, but they are carrying their music on, which is a great thing. Quality band.
Aside from Tony Hicks... fake hollies. I'll always remember them as they were....
They're still great!
I'm feelin' it.

Tony Hicks was 17 when he joined the band, he still looks 17....
Get to Specsavers !

Bobby just turned 80 the other day!

Isnt it ghastly!
3 from Lancashire Nelson lancs pendle Tony's home bankhoues rood near my house in 1955 😂
not the Hollies without Alan Clarke !!
Alguém me diga quem é esse vocalista substituto ?
I've been a fan of the Hollies for over 40 years but it might be time to wind down. The voices and harmonies are a little frail now and some of the higher notes are eluding them - sorry chaps!

i couldn t agree more. baby face then and now. love all of them

Allan clarke original
Dunno who these blokes are, but that’s NOT the Hollies.
Not the same…😢
No Allan, no band.
My think s is average good. The singer is good but seems to be in a big trouble when he have to hit the upper notes. Tends to get an over forced singing voice and that ruins the lot for me.
Eric Rose...You are so right.
Crap ; it’s not the Hollies.
It’s some of them.
Very good musicians playing HOLLIES music….but they just don’t sound anything like the Hollies…
A bit like The Everly Brothers…without Don and Phil, or Simon and Garfunkel…without either..
Couldnt agree more!
NO ALLAN CLARKE, THOUGH
Get a proper camera angle - too hard to watch with the ups and downs
I want to believe but the vocals IMO aren’t as strong.
Can’t get much worse.
Very sad. No high notes at all. Weak lead singer and the high harmonizing singer could barely be heard at all. It’s a nice lounge club act but should not be billed as The Hollies.
No no no. Sorry not the same. 😮
No allan Clarke no hollies simple.
Wow..The Hollies ..and not glimpse of Bobby Elliott??….SHAME ON YA!
I only videotape what was in front of me I could not see Bob Elliot and I would love to have had him in the video but we were on the ship. Thanks for viewing
I was on that cruise too. Unfortunately Bobby got COVID just before the show and was not able to perform.
No VIC Steele no Hollies
Puro Kayo fake
A poor tribute band
Not much of a singer
LIVE. HOLLIES. MAGIC
