As a former McDonald's employee I can let you know that the folded egg is prepared ahead of time it's actually from a carton not frozen in warmed up. It's basically the same prepared eggs that you buy in the grocery store. It's poured on the grill and scrambled that same morning right alongside the fresh cracked eggs.
Also, the filet I fish bun is the exact same buns used for there burgers. They are just stream instead of being run through the toaster.

the folded egg at the store I worked at came frozen in a huge box, so it depends on the store 🤷 and our round eggs were always kept in a warmer after cooked so asking for round instead of folded doesn't guarantee freshness, you could still end up with an old one.

We grill stuff for 17 seconds at Taco Bell getting it extra grilled isn't hard or take minutes longer. Pro tip if you can't have dairy for any reason ask for something fresco style they take all the dairy off and add pico de gallo for free.

As a McDonalds worker, I will say we do have grilled cheese. It's called a cheese toastie and is done in McCafe.
You can ask for your fries to be unsalted and that way they have no choice to make fresh fries.

I work at McDonalds and I can tell you, just ask for the fries "cook to order" or fresh and they will happily help you out. At my McDonalds, non salted fries, while fresh, slow down the process a lot since we have to make sure that salt doesnt come in contact with the fries.

I work at burger king and we always make the burger while your there 95% of the time, the other 5% is because we made an extra burger during rush times by accident which we throw out after 10 minutes. And just ask for fresh if you want fresh

When I worked for Burger King it was the same way. Just like we were no stickler if a customer asked for CTO .

The egg customization will get you a fresh egg it doesn't guarantee that the meat included is fresh. Most meats are kept in hot hold. If you are ordering a burger though (or fries/hasbrowns) if you order it "without salt" you will get it fresh.
So round egg = fresh egg
No salt = fresh fries or burger patty
Also steaming the bun doesn't mean any fresher of a bun. Whether toasted or steamed the buns come from the same place
Creamer Of The Dairy Squad ask for unsalted meat!! Yes I've know that tip since working at Wendys! Same with Fries. It still surprises me people don't know it

6:40 I would be cautious about customizing your burger at BK. I used to work as a cashier/cook when I was in high school. Yes you can customize it in terms of adding extra lettuce, pickle or onion etc. But when you asked for cheese, bacon, stacker sauce, bbq sause etc. It will charge you much MORE than if you order the already existing burger and make a few modifications instead.
Often is the case the people's "customizations" are usually already available somewhere in the order board but charged them a little extra nevertheless.
The message: ask how much it will cost extra for your customizations and look at all the options on the order board.
Oh also, just cus you customized your burger DOES NOT mean your food will be fresh. It legit just means your giving the cashier a longer time putting your order in and giving the cooks extra steps than they would otherwise. Your still getting that same beef patty in the warm compartment in the same whoppers that the next person behind you would order.

True on the costing extra. And customers had to request CTO(cook to order) if they wanted fresh out of the broiler hamburgers etc. otherwise it was definitely the pattys in the warmer tray. 💯

See I'll give you another trick (as a past McDonald's employee).
I learned early on that getting fresh food from McDonalds was like night and day, so like you said saying "Hey can I get that fresh", isn't always fun to ask. So the best way to guarantee it's fresh (if you don't mind the flavor, which I completely recommend) is to ask for extra salt.
McDonald's burgers are seasoned with a salt and pepper blend after they're finished cooking. So when you ask for extra salt, they can't just add it to an already cooked burger (since the grease would have already run off, and the salt wouldn't stick) forcing the grill station to slap that new patty down.
However the draw back is that you WILL have to wait most times at least an extra 3 or so minutes since cooking a 10-1 (standard hamburger patty) takes around 120 seconds if I remember correctly.
Another thing to remember is that the "BigMac" uses the exact same patties as the standard $1 cheeseburger.

@@duceysanem how could it not be? sure sometimes the food is left to sit for very short amounts of time so everyone at the table's meal comes out at the same time, but the chefs will try to compensate by `making some meals earlier and others later so they all finish at the same time. that's how a restaurant works

@@fzr850 sure in some cases its reheated but not at most restaurants, as reheating can make the food tough and chewy if its in a microwave, or hard and dry if its in an induction heating type thing (oven, spacial heater, etc.) so most quality restaurants tend to prepare the food so all different parts of the meal finish at the same time so the food wont get cold

In nz mcdonalds they usually dont do my order right when i ask for a burger with only patty cheese and buns they usually give me the wrong burger and i found out that they could possibly be using premade ones and they are to lazy but then i confronts them and then they give me the right one
