The day before our national lockdown I was at my local HPB on Sunday at 5pm with my 50% off coupon. They had just got in a huge collection and for some reason the record person put out a stack of rarities as I walked in. First, a minty 3rd state first VU unpeeled for $100. A minty first UK press white album for $50. First UK press Abbey Road, also mint, for $25. Minty second VU for $25. I bought them so fast.

Well done here. would certainly be grabbing those Stones records for those prices. If not for myself but for quality trade bait. Is that an original Coming From Reality on Sussex? Not as good as the first lp but much tougher to find I thought.

Great selection, which pressing did you buy of the White album? Is that a seventies UK pressing? I have a few different ones, a numbered US first pressing and a US late seventies white vinyl pressing and MOFI early eighties pressing.

Very nice as always, i went to a record fair yesterday and i forgot how stressful those things can be, i'm super selective and only came home with 1 album that i don't think ive seen anyone show or talk about and that is the band Stray Dog.
    Zeppelin/hendrix blues rock
Anyone have this album or have heard it?

Cool Bob! I recently picked up a UK Beggar's Banquet - but it's warped. Speaking of German pressings. I paid up for a German "Horzu" Magical Mystery Tour. It's way up on the list of best sounding Beatles pressings. I've go to say, it really does sound excellent! I also individually bought most of the Beatles albums from the "Blue Box" - The late 70's, early 80's UK box set. Nice White Album score for sure!
But more importantly, last summer was the summer of CTI, shouldn't this summer be the summer of ECM? Ha. Cheers - Jay

That white album is a sweet score indeed. I have quite a few white albums: a couple of UK pressings, including an OG, a French pressing (using the original U.S. stampers), an excellent 1973 German pressing, the 2014 mono, an og U.S. pressing and the Giles Martin box. Those UK pressings do sound incredible.
I’m impressed with the Decca Stones. I have a real difficult time trying to hunt down original Decca Stones records. I hardly ever see them.

Nice score Bob! That looks like a second pressing Decca, which sound awesome. Big Stones fan and have a couple of them, their the pride in my Stones collection. I had four pressings of the white Album and kept the UK pressing like you got. It was the one in the best condition and sounded better than the Capitol.

Hi Bob - I was able to see Rodriguez live in Traverse City , Mi in 2013 & he was humbled by the large crowd. Cold Fact is the better album. The German Pink Floyd of the second album is a nice find. Half Priced books remains an oasis of deals. ✌️
