He posted a couple posts on Facebook in 2022, and he says he'll make a video explaining his absence. It's been 2 years since then but hopefully we'll see it eventually.

I used to live in Huddersfield, and I miss Yorkshire. Some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. I’m American though and I wish more people in Huddersfield liked Americans - not everyone was like that, but I got my feelings hurt quite a few times. Matter of fact, I had to come back to the States because of it, and I didn’t want to. I must say that part really confused me, because I found the people of Yorkshire to be quite interesting and wonderful, and I tried never to take being there for granted. Hello from the States by the way. Beautiful work you’ve done.
Great vid Shaun and very decent praising your now old company. Sorry you had some crap at the start of the pandemic, but like you said yourself and family are most important! I'm still shielding due to my health!

Im sad to see tiger go but all said and dont it really needed to progress and move on. Not just for the drivers but also for the passengers it served! Glad its got a good start to greatness now!
Sad day that was, Last tiger bus I got was 1001 on the day they showed the team pennine vehicles and honestly loved it. Apart from a commander breaking down straight after but Yorkshire Tiger will be missed massively. From the days to the Barnsley depot and so on.
They will be missed, the barnsley operation was different to say the least! Good start but unfortunatly just couldn't grow due to stagecoach :(

I used to live York 2006 to 9, been going Sheffield since 2010 as my best mates there, every now and then i go mad and look up buying house in sheffield. Think part of why i keep tuning into you is so i can hear yorkshire accent again, not been up since start of pandemic. I’m high vulnerable you see. The fact youre very good at videos keeps me here
Good luck at Arriva. I'll soon be doing my PCV training at Arriva's Ashington (Northumberland) depot and looking forward to it. I currently work behind the scenes fueling, shunting, etc and I can say from experience the Arriva lead drivers (controllers) are great lads who treat us subcontractors well and look after their drivers up here. The Arriva drivers we deal with every day are a great bunch and you can have a real laugh with them. Looking forward to being on the same team (albeit miles apart) and you can imagine the ribbing the Geordies at the training school will be giving me for my Yorkshire accent :)

Great video Shaun & I hope you end up doing some runs to The City of York as York is a beautiful City. I love it there when I’ve been on holiday there in the past the last time being 2010. Good luck at arriva & hope it goes well for you Pal & I’m glad your getting decent buses 🚍 to drive at last. 👍

@@TheFlatCapBusDriver must be from another depot in Yorkshire that do runs to York. Yeah York Is gorgeous definitely will be a fabby day out for you & your family. I’m not a church ⛪️ gower but would definitely recommend a walk around the Minster as it’s beautiful inside & out. Great thing is it’s only around 3 hrs from Kirkcaldy my local town in Fife so not far at all Pal. Yeah I’m doing fine Pal I canny grumble Pal. 👍

Sad to see YT go but going by the look and state of the fleet, you're absolutely right - it desperately needs investment! I'm a subscriber and don't think i've ever commented , especially as i drive coaches and bys work has never really appealed to me ( though i do drive buses on r&r etc ) but i think it's time to comment. Saun you have given the industry good reviews and have like anton become an ambassador for the industry ....The little lad proves the point.......keep up the good work and look forward to the arriva look on things ......
Thank you for that comment mate, sometimes its hard to try and get a real picture of the industry and what we do. I have always said from day one i want to be truthful and be open about the job. A lot of folk have taken this career up because of these videos and I wanted to open to door to it before they jump two footed into it lol :) But honestly thank you!

It's strange. He was so excited on this video, 2 years ago, and was starting at Arriva the next day. He said he'd had permission to continue filming with Arriva, then boom ..... no more videos ever followed this one. Hope he's ok.

The Denby dart buses are old 2016 plate buses but they are on a private plates and I really love the Enviro 200 MMCs to. B&Q washers lol 😂 good line that
So wait some services will be run by Arriva & some will be operated for Transdev/Team Pennine.
Did Arriva always own them?
Tiger/Arriva have ownership of the runs however when they sold the depot they didnt include the 231/232 routes in this. (From what im led to believe)

The first bus you had looked pretty knackered and what a way to end your working life with bus problems. I'm quite lucky as I live around the corner from my local bus depot and the buses are years old but still going strong with a few break down and one of the buses actually caught fire recently while in service but thankfully the driver and passengers got off safely and got a different bus to their destination
Its always nice to work around the corner and thats what im going to miss. My traveling time has gone from 5 mins to 35 lol but it's worth it massivly. I enjoy arriva a lot so im gald to have transferred

Yorkshire Tiger was owned by arriva. It was a low cost subsidary of them :) Hope this helps

This is happening down in Brighton with bus company: The big lemon it’s a bit like Yorkshire tiger but in Brighton and it’s more eco friendly but the contract might be changing from the council to maybe compass bus or other companies (I don’t know who is in the position for the big lemon company) but it’s sad if the council lose the contract

Yorkshire Tiger died a few years back and was dying ever since but I love the company as I had some good bus rides with them.
Sad times as I'm going to miss them.

Hey :) 16 years is a long time and im sure things have changed. Ive been here a week now and the atmoshpere is brilliant, really looking forward to getting stuck back into it and realistically starting a fresh!
@@TheFlatCapBusDriver yeah it’s been a while…I was mostly on the 110’s 145/150 and back then the 126/7..I left mainly because of the constant rota changes there was good atmosphere but maybe one day I may return to belle isle..
