What's your earliest translation you own\hold at hand? You'll likely notice real differences between the same versions, if you really want to investigate the Word. In the earliest colonial times, it was indeed illegal to even translate\print\or distribute, without proper licensed authority. There's much to notice between 1611-1846, especially between the illegal American publishing of the holy Bible in American Colonial English 1661,1743,1783,1882 that may shed some light! 🕯️ Amen
