The early 90's were Bart Mania and the Simpsons Mania I remember everyone had to have some kind of merchandise from dolls, cards, the Simpsons Sing The Blues albums, the Nintendo and Arcade games, shirts, buttons, etc. You name it.
Was able to ride that roller coaster before it was torn down. Games at the CNE seem the same, just different prizes. I enjoyed the video games pod (forgot what system they were promoting) when they had it. Great videos.

My family always use to be one of the first ones in the EX, on Warriors Day, and one of the last to leave...early the next day :) I would have been 2 years old when this video was shot. This is the first year I've ever missed the EX in my life.

Did you know that's how the ice cream cone was invented. At a fair similar to the Ex a man selling ice cream ran out of cups so he teamed up with booth that was selling waffles but wasn't doing very well. They shaped the waffles into a cone and people loved the idea, from that day on the ice cream cone was invented.
Wow 😯 exhibition used to be so much better Back In The Days compared to now.. The exhibition now totally sucks and there’s no energy or excitement going in the exhibition nowadays compared to back then. Especially I hate that giant football stadium that they built in the exhibition🙄.
If you walked and filmed to the end of the Alpine Way where the Bavarian Taverns is, you'd probably catch me sitting at one of the entrances to the patio.

My father bought a Panasonic video camera in 1988. I wish I filmed the CNE back then and other parts of Toronto that have now disappeared.
The thing is, back then, the battery barely lasted an hour and after that, you were left hauling around a useless bigass camera!
