Honda Monkey | Installing GCraft Spools and Tank Pads

- Two more parts for the little Monkey. This time I put on some H2C Tank Pads and a set of GCraft Suspension Spools. The tank pads might be a bit of overkill, but I like having a little bit extra protection against scratches. The spools are quite nice. I've been using just the swing arm part of my lift but the spools keep the bike better in place.
Overall, took a few minutes to get these things on the bike.

What rear stand brand is that? I was thinking of buying a pit bull stand but don’t really know which version I should be going with to use on the monkey 125 bike. I will appreciate and advice. Thanks!
My rear stand is pretty generic (I’ve had it for a while and forgot from where). Just make sure you get one that works with spools and not the single swing arm kind and you should be ok.
@@UnknownOverLand Thank You!
What size spools fit on suspension? I don't have time to wait for these to ship from Thailand...
The spool is replacing a 10mm flange nut, so would need to find something like that. Unsure if the grom crowd has more options that might work as well. I hear you on the not wanting to wait, it was annoying. I’m surprised that more of the shops don’t have options.
what are you squeezing on. Threadlock?
Yup, that’d be blue loctite.
Just ordered thee spools. What's the torque setting? Looks like 20' lbs?
I really like them. From the service manual, it's 21 ft-lbs.
@@UnknownOverLand I always straighten front wheel when putting on a paddock stand...had my share of near misses....prob ok on this little fella!
Where did you buy the aluminum lift at?? Thanks in advance!
I’ve had this lift for quite a few years now, I believe I picked it up from a local shop. There are quite a few lifts out there on Amazon that should work with no problem.
@@UnknownOverLand Thanks For The Reply!! Happy And Safe Biking To You!!
To you also!
What vendor did u use to get the spools?
I picked them up from beezdeals.com. They took forever to get here since they shipped from Thailand, but no problems otherwise.
