Hello, a russian native speaker here! First of all - thank you for your vlogs, they are absolutely adorable and I am in love with them! My favourite part is the way you learn the languages, for me it looks so real! All those plans, textbooks, grammar exersices, this all just makes sense! I've learnt english and now I am learning polish (going succesfully!) and it's such a pleasure to follow a person who shares the same approach, that textbooks are essential and there's nothing wrong with being academic sometimes (I know people who learn languages avoiding textbooks and it's such a mess in my pov. It's like they have some trauma from school or brainwashed by the idea that there are ways that allow you to learn a language to C1 in 6 months with some super innovative and immersive technics) So! About my polish! Polish is close to Russian by the grammar structure so it's a language that goes well for me but still requires a lot of attention to avoid mistakes. I've been learning it for 15 or so months and I would say I have B1-B1+-B2- depending on the skill and some can say it's not that much for a year and there are people who learn it faster, but I learn it not while being in Poland so my progress is valid! I have a polish bf so we talk and chat everyday (english russian and polish) and that helps a lot and now we complete a grammar series book aiming for B2-C1 :) I am proud of myself because this book feels kind of too repetitive, it just gives the grammar topic and then 50+ excercises on it, but after completing a few chapters I feel more confident :) I covered the mistakes I had no idea I had, it's a special kind of amusement :) I also started another B2-C1 textbook in the late spring but had to give up on that in the middle of summer because this one was too advance and only frustated me 😅 So, I think that's all I wanted to say for now, thank you again for your videos :)
Oh my, thank you SO MUCH for your comment I don't think you understand how much this resonates with me!! I strive to make the most honest and realistic content possible about my REAL language study routine, not an idealistic one. So having people like you getting what I am trying to convey means the world to me ❤❤ I loved to read about your journey and progress with polish, how interesting!!! I loved the part where you found amusement in correcting your blind spots in the language, that sounds so familiar to me since I went through the same process with english (being so close to french) and I LOVED IT haha Thank you again and please come back here anytime ❤❤❤
I’ve just started learning mandarin, it’s been one month now. I would love to learn about your journey on it, because your strategies of studying are pretty much similar to mine, so maybe I can refine what I’m already doing. Just discovered you’re channel, and I’m loving it 💙
Hello!! Thank you again for your videos, they are always a highlight. I also wanted to add to several other comments about how cool it is, that you talk about your journey to further fluency beyond the standardized tests. I hope you continue to have a great summer! I have been enjoying the sun so much ☀️
Hello dear!! thank you again for interacting with me on here, for watching the video, and supporting the channel ♥️ it literally means the world ♥️ indeed, to me language learning is a lifelong process, and standardized tests are merely useful (for the most part) tools to assess where you are in the process, at some point in time!
Congratulations on your breakthrough with Chinese! I'm also going through something similar with Greek. I can listen to Easy Greek podcasts and follow along in quite a relaxed way but I'm certainly still lacking vocab. Also, congrats on feeling so comfortable in Japanese when talking about a range of topics. It's so impressive that you're now at that level in three languages. I love that you don't even include English when you talk about your monthly study, I can't wait to get there with Spanish one day (and hopefully Greek and Italian too)😄
If you have this kind of mindset and you are able to maintain it throughout, I can almost guarantee that you will achieve what you want to achieve!!! 🥰 Thank you so much for your support it means a lot to me ♥️
Congrats on the breakthrough!! This always feels so huge when things just click 🥹 I love how you track your progess, I started a study planner and been doing weekly/montly reflections as well and it really helps me notice how much I managed to improve which I wouldn't notice otherwise. Thank you for the inspiration 💕
I am so happy that you could have such a result with the study planner!! You're welcome, I just shared my experience 💕💕💕 I agree, when things click it feels wonderful, I am literally living for those moments 😂🥰
Hi! I discovered your channel about a month ago and I have to say that I love how seriously and intensively you study. When you talked about that book 留学生の日本語 it sounded familiar, so I checked my bookshelf and I have it! And next to it is one that I found fabulous and I thought that maybe you will be interested in it, it is called 留学生のための ここが大切 文章表現のルール. Great video!
You read my mind because I actually have that book in my wishlist on Amazon!! 💗💗 thank you so much for the recommendation and good luck with your studies :)))
I always love follow you during your language learning journey, 加油 ! 🎉 Personnally as I'm in summer hollydays it's hard to have a strict schedule and to follow it so I mostly kept immersion for spanish, italian and portuguese. I focused on Slovak (following one by one the lessons with my teacher) and Chinese (following the lessons in my 2 italian books). For August I keep this because I will still be in summer hollydays and have a messy schedule, I just add one hour Chinese lesson per week with a teacher to improve prononciation and speaking 😊
That sounds like such a wonderful plan, I think you can go far with this!! thank you so much for interacting with me on here, and for supporting the channel by giving my july recap a watch, I am truly grateful ❤❤❤❤

Hello! Where did you get the Russian book in your mother tongue?
I purchased the Assimil textbook online on the official Assimil website ✅
