This league beginning is the best. Old Pokémon returning, cameos, new moves for ash old Pokémon, the mix of old and new Pokémon in the matches, and the fact that you added an Ash moment where he forgets types. You deserve an award for this series. Great job
To be honest I’ve never liked the running gag of ash forgetting typings, buts it’s a lot more excusable here since he was able to use Gible’s moves in an awesome and clever way to come out on top.
i’ll never understand how Zac has single handedly given Galar more love than the actual anime ever did, and is also making me want to reply sword and shield

Once again, I am not a shipper but you cannot unsee the blushing at 7:55 (Gloria for Hop) and 12:31 (Marnie for Ash). Great plot, great battles, accurate character presentation, accurate past references, and return of Ash's infernape with its signature dig attacks and Super Saiyan Blaze ability, what else do you want? This anime will be more canon for me then the Journeys, no hate for it though.
I think funny moment would be seeing Marnie and Gloria cheering together during Ash and Hop's final match.

I feel like that one will the finals of the galar league and then whoever wins battles Leon. I'm just hoping Zac has ash battle marnie and hop battles in the semi-finals so that both of them can have a full battle against their main rivals.

Plus it's got a 4x advantage over charizard. If an accelerock or stone edge lands, that's like half of Charizard's health gone

The battle quality and writing is somehow better than 90% of pok3emkn journeys. This feels official also. Great writing and I love how dynamic the battles are despite not actually being animated. A lot of hard work and love was put into this.

I liked the fact that Hop is using his other Pokémon in addition to the main team so they aren't just forgotten. Trevanant doing so much work against Avery was nice. I also enjoyed Ash battling Melony here. That's one of the big things I hoped would happen since she's the only gym leader Ash didn't have an official battle against, and I loved that Centicorch was the one who got Ash that win. Finally I like how even though Gloria isn't competing in the league, you kept her relevant by giving her a Pokejob to do.
Hop’s truly proving that he is Leon’s brother. Not just a copy, but a dude with the heart of a Champion.

I love the Battle Frontier/Johto League vibes where Ash blends his new Pokemon with his older ones to make for great lineups in these battles!

Infernape's blaze overpowers Dynamax, Rain, and type-disadvantage. Honestly, probably only Infernape could have done something like that while making it believable.
I am exited for the next few battles. I really hope at least one of these pokemon make an appearance (Gliscor, Rowlet, Muk, and Kingler.)

Perfect episode i love how ash uses his old pokemon like in the sinnoh league. Hopefully we'll see his charizard and see leon be surprised and impressed by it
Nice episode set! Good battle of Ash vs Klara and I also liked the touch of the commercial break with the sponsorship of The Pokemon Company International. Also the fact that Ash was using many of his old Pokemon in the battles, something he should have done in Journeys (not counting the episodes in Aim To Be A Pokemon Master). Great work on this.

- Dig
- Mach Punch
- Fire Pledge

This was a good part one of the Galar League the Preliminary round being Dynamax battles were good with Ash Hop, Marnie Bede Klara swordward and Shieldbert and the majority of the gym leaders making it to the second round I like that Ash was motivated by Hop to use his other Pokemon and that ash is using a mix of his Old and New Pokemon like Ash beating Melony with Buizel, Centiscorch and Hawlucha also the return of Ice Aquajet was nice now Ash has beat all the Galar gym leaders Hop beats Avery and then the third Round Ash vs Klara who is now playing fair and he uses Infernape, Gible and Dreadnaw I hoped you would’ve had Ash use Melmetel as it would do well against Posion types it was funny if Ash for a moment forget Dragon type moves aren’t effective against Fairy types but he still wins with Gible beating Galarian Weezing haveing Gible use Dracometeor on the ground to perpell it into the air and winning with Earth power Dreadnaw beating Skullipede with its GMax form before beat defeat by Galarian Slowbro also I liked how Ash reuse Infernape using Flarebliz undeground to destroy the Toxic spikes was good and using Power up punch while Klara seamed to be winning when Dynamax Slowbro but Infernape activate Blaze to boost it fire type attacks and eventually wins Ash the match with Klara excepting Defeat and now respect ash was good nice for having Gible and Infernape learn new moves and the Cameos of Dawn, Serena Paul and Reggie watching the league live was cool as-well way better than the Masters 8 so far.

I'm glad to see returning pokemon for the tournament, even if they're all BDSP/ Sinnoh pokemon so far, and showcasinging his past strategies. (ice aqua jet, flare blitz underground, and aiming a move at the ground or wall instead of the opponent to dodge, using Gible's favorite move) I'm hoping for pokemon from other regions to appear, too.
I would have liked seeing May with Dawn and Serena, though. Why not have all of the coordinators together?

This league is already starting off better than the Masters 8 did. I still stand by my opinion that the Cynthia and Leon fights with Ash were awesome, but everything else really needed some improvements. At this point Zac should just be writing for the actual anime.

Two questions:
1.Why did everyone hate it when goh caught alot of pokemon, but everyones fine with gloria doing it.
2. Is hop a companion or a rival or both?
Because Goh caught legendaries
People hated him long before that
1. The reason people hate goh catching so many pokemon is because he makes them feel like a collection instead of companions that you bond with. While Gloria is doing the same thing, it ultimately feels like it has a purpose. To help professor Magnolia with her dynamax research and to help Gloria in catching Gmax Pokémon. Plus it doesn’t help that Goh caught all the galar starters while ash got just had Dracovish and Sirfetch’d. Plus their treatment was borderline awful. Cinderace was goh’s first ever Pokemon and it gets replaced when goh caught sobble. Sobble spent its evolution as drizzile in a cave and never showed up or a major appearance until its evolution. And grookey was completely useless. It was just the generic comic relief starter, without any significant to its name. It didn’t even get use more than 2 moves. At least with Gloria, we got to see her use some of her other Pokémon in raid battles, training ash and hop, and pokejobs. Plus Zac gave her a decent balance of Inteleon, Eevee, Toxtricity. Inteleon was her shy starter that evolved into more confident battler, Eevee got to prove her worth to Gloria and gmaxed, and Toxtricity stopped being rebellious and listened to her.
2. Hop is both. He still travels with ash but Zac wanted to include his depression arc like in the games by having him leave the group and catch random Pokemon.
