I watched this cover by fromis_9 Hayoung (if i recall correctly) but while it is good, it felt more like a mainstream singer singing it. Very soft around the edges. So different from Yuuri's. Now Siyeon's one felt like a really polished technical singer singing it with that 'Japanese essence' (for lack of better terms) needed for such songs. Is it better than the original? Depends on what one appreciates. The way Yuuri sang was full of emotions.

I also discovered him via this video and actually like his style a lot! -- Also ofc Siyeon killed it, and I too agree she did great and fits the song very well. ( on the plus side this time her cover didn't cause you to tear up, but that moment followed by your phone buzz is definitely one of the most memorable moments I have of the channel 😂 )
