I just spoke to a romanian friend today and she said there is a saying in Romania which roughly translates into "the most important school you attend is in the first 7 years". As a mum of two girls (7 and 10) I worry that as soon as they hit their teens everything we've tried to instill into them goes out the window because all of a sudden their peers will be a lot more important and their parents are just a necessity...

    • @emiliagal5448

Indeed AnNa, we call it "the 7 years from home" in Romanian, that's all one has to say and we all know what it means. We sometimes mention it even in case of a person's lack of manners, that they are missing "the 7 years from home".

It's incredible to think how the child's fate is in the hands of the parents. Putting the child at the centre and caring for them is so important, vital for the child. I like how all the conversation happens in the garden. Plants are cared for from seed and everyone knows how the sprouts need to be cared for to grow into healthy plants. Without good soil, nutritions and warmth they will not grow. The more healthy plants, the more beautiful the garden. There is no garden without beautiful and healthy plants. Thank you for this positive vision for the future. All the best.

Comming from a soutamerican country, where children not only suffer malnutrition, violence, abussed even from their own parents and all kinds of harms, mental health is the last thing to be considered. Am over 40, and I has suffered depression and sadness since a kid, and no one, ever realized, not only t hat, but we did not have any access, we did not even know what going to a psicologist was. At least nowdays there is more awareness trough the internet and it so sad that people chose to use it for listening just silly music , memes, or not educational content. Thanks to Princess katherine for understanding and bringing awareness, may your work spread all over the worl, and thanks to all working on it, early childhood is the most important, as it make us who we are, and what we suffer as kids, if not healed, is a big stepping stone as adults, sadly

I lost a close long-time friend to suicide over 10 years ago.
It caught me cold because I was completely oblivious to the fact that he was suffering from clinical depression. The coroner's report had it that he over-dosed on anti-depressants.
I didn't know what someone suffering from depression looked like. He certainly didn't talk about it or show it. He was such a cheerful, well-like chap. I don't mind admitting he was a better friend than I was.

Wow. What a wonderful conversation, what a beautiful place. What a wonderful job. Congratulations to both. That's what being royalty is. What a smart boy. Congratulations. Indirectly, Princess Kate is helping Harry. He just watches what she says and does about mental health. The boy talks about friendship and what he says is pure truth. And that's sad, because harry lost his friends because of the bad choices he made in life

What an important discussion. Once again, thank you to Princess Catherine for shedding light on suicide. Awareness and education will save lives.
