      Hi Vandana, I think sails are generally made either with tempered chocolate or with rise paper. I have never seen one with water paper and I did search it, but only found those made with rise paper. I hope this helps😊

    This is the easiest tutorial yet, but I have a problem. I can't tell which is the shinny part and the dull part of the wafer. Mine look the same, I don't really think it makes a difference, you tell me.

      Hi Angie, thank you so much! Happy you found it helpful. I am actually not sure if every wafer paper has these two sides. But the shiny side is usually the one that is more even, mine has a smooth surface on the shiny side and a bit more rough on the other side.

      Hi there, if you watch the video you will see the whole process and how many I used. I used 6 small, 10 medium and 10 big. But I would suggest to just see how you like it and then adjust the amounts accordingly😊

      Thank you :) I bought mine at a local baking show/fair. But you can also find it probably in most baking supply shops or just search on amazon or ebay. It is called wafer paper.

    Thx for tutorial ....how thickness the wafer paper ..

    • @inthekitchenwithelisa
      @inthekitchenwithelisa  6 лет назад +1

      Hi there, thank you for visiting my channel. Unfortunately on the paper I have it doesnt have the thickness written on. But I would say it is not the thinnest because it is not see through. So my guess would be maybe about 0.6mm or so. I know that the thinner the paper is the more sensitive it is to water.So this might also work with thinner paper but then you just need to experiment with the water a little more. I hope this helps, but feel free to ask more if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Hi is there any color of wafer paper?

    • @inthekitchenwithelisa
      @inthekitchenwithelisa  6 лет назад

      Hi :) Unfortunately I have only seen white, but try searching in online shops maybe there are some somewhere. Also you can color them lightly with powder colors, but it does not really cover them completely. But it still looks nice.I might consider another tutorial on that. Would you be interested?

    My waffer paper always tear why l cannot understand

    • @inthekitchenwithelisa
      @inthekitchenwithelisa  4 года назад

      At what point does this happen? When you are shaping it? Usually it is because you apply too much pressure. As the wafer paper is very delicate you need to work very gently with it. Also can be that the wafer paper you use is very thin and so tears really easy. I hope this helps, but if not please feel free to reach out again and I will try helping you 😊
