I totally go with your choice of the De Walt Combi Drill as your number one choice. I don't tackle complicated DIY jobs but find this drill to be absolutely spot on. Cheers.
I definitley see the advantages of the multi tool, buuuut it seems like 90% of it's uses I tend to have something else that will do the job. And it seems like the blade market is a bit wild.
With an impending house move that is also a bit of a 'project', I have been considering buying a DeWalt multi tool for a while , deciding I should go for a cordless & 'body only' as I have batteries with my combi-drill. Thankfully I just watched your video just in time and have now found a corded DeWalt with accessories plus a DeWalt bag for the same price as a body only, online. So, that's the one I'm opting for. Not having owned one before I didn't realise that the corded one would have more 'staying power'. Great advice, thanks. 👍🏻
You can easily substitute a corded multi-tool with a cordless one. These tools have the smallest motor, even smaller than a drill motor, so this is where power is the least significant. A circular saw will have twice the motor power, yet they run fine on battëries.
I had a job to cut vents into a shipping container, only had a battery grinder that quickly gave up. Order the chorded the cheap Makita grinder in your vid and it flew through the steel - the difference was night and day! :D
Its taken me time to learn not all tools are equal, and I have the same top 5 tools as you have (not all DeWalt though). I would add one more tool to your top 5 and make it a top 6. My DeWalt DWS774 Slide Mitre Saw makes me more accurate for repetitive cutting and as it has the slides held within the body it doesn't take up any extra bench space when i'm at home. A great video and your preference between corded and non-corded tools is spot on. It gets embarassing when you run out of battery when out in the field.
Another well explained video. I will.agree with the No.1, I have Dewalt Kit, and my Combi drill is awesome. I actually prefer drilling 6 or 7mm holes into smooth finished walls, rather than my sds Cordless drill. Combi drill packs a good punch and drilling through tiles is even more fun and easier.
I am also a dewalt fan but will pick other brands if its a deal. My dewalt combi drill is called delilah 😂 Next power tools on the wish list are circular saw and angle grinder.
Top man! I’ve spent most of this evening watching your videos, love your channel, great presentation and you really know your stuff. I wish I could justify buying every power tool by Dewalt 🤣 I’ve got the combi so can’t grumble too much. Moving into my first home soon and all the electrical videos you posted will come in handy and now give me the confidence to give it a go. Look forward to future videos, thanks 👍🏻
Cordless drill must be brushless it's not cheaper but really easy and storng and took low voltage from battery it means u can do much more work ، rest tools buy corded they will b fine but tht beast should b strong as much as u can
@@TheDIYGuy1 Think your list is pretty spot on. I do a lot of fabrication and welding and the best thing I've ever bought was a cordless angle grinder, insanely versatile for everything, probably the tool I use the most by a long shot. I do like my cordless jigsaw for cutting weird shapes in sheets/panels and wood worktops.
Sorry mate I binned all my Dewalt gear for Einhell and disagree with regards to a cordless multi tool the Einhell cordless is a beast, the combi drill i got also had impact function so binned both my Dewalt combi and impact for one tool. But super vlog cheers

Cheers, glad you like the vid
Another great video. A multitool is one of those tools that when you start using one you wonder how you managed without it.
Thanks👍

Not a DIY related question at all… but where did you get that jacket? Very nice - hope you don’t mind me asking
It's fine. It's a snickers jacket. Brilliant jacket for working outdoors in the winter. Product code: sn1100

You can't beat Milwaukee power tools
