DeMeco Ryans On Brevin Jordan:
“Brevin, I joke with the guys, I show plays from practice, from the previous practice in our team meetings. I say, ‘I have my daily Brevin clip. I show a clip of Brevin every day. He has a highlight of just, Brevin’s playing so fast, so decisive and he’s making some really great catches, tough catches. He’s done a great job for himself over this offseason as well. Man, he’s improved. I see him, he’s confident and he believes that he’s a dude, and he can be for us and he is. And I’m excited to see that confidence that Brevin is displaying throughout.”

D. I started watching football and actually played in junior high because the Texans were doing good. But that 2019 game shouldn’t have happened like that just nuked it so much bro. Like I stopped watching football after he traded Hopkins and the Watson fiasco. Like it was just a mess and he was in the middle of it.

Don’t let the wins fool you. Majority of his wins came against teams with below .500 records. He was horrible against teams with winning records. Also in 3 playoff home games the Texans scored 0 points in the first half in all 3 games.

Diggs runs great routes....He seperates from defenders right at his cuts. When he and CJ get thier timing down it is going to be exciting to watch!!
As camp goes on we will see CJ start trusting Diggs and start throwing to a spot that he knows Diggs will be in his route just like he did all last year with his other receivers...
Diggs is just another piece of the overall pie.....and what a pie it is.

Bill O'Brien was A+ as a coach. Shame what happened Rick Smith. I respect that he called it to spend more time with his family given their situation. The gms we had after rick were so bad, billy though he could do better. He could not.
First time Diggs got traded to a contending team, he helped build buffalo into a contender

Bill has been an passable offensive coordinator in the past. He did help Brady in his career. I will give him that. But he was not a good general manager, and I think that Caserio wouldn’t have helped the issue. A lot of the good Texans players were drafted by Rick Smith, who O’Brien would’ve forced out if it hadn’t been for Rick’s family situation. He traded Hopkins for a hill of beans. That set us back about 3 years in and of itself. He also had Andre Johnson, the clear best single receiver Houston has ever had, sent to the Colts and Titans for one year each before he retired. Bill is unfortunately a product of the Belichick system, and for all the damage that was done to the Texans, I can’t look at his time in Penn State and look at it with any appreciation. Christian Hackenberg, the QB O’Brien championed while with the Nittany Lions, is now lashing out at the New York Jets for drafting him in the first place. I’m sorry, but we’re in a much better position now than with Bill O’Brien. C, because he did get us a couple of playoff appearances in his tenure.

the bullshit started when he traded dj swearinger because he wouldnt go to special teams meetings. the brock things was forced on him if you remember correctly. he was upset that he didnt even get to meet with brock before rick smith shoved him down coachs throat. thats why rick got the boot.
i think he did well. stats show it but when he made GM, i think it was too much. players felt slighted when they had to swallow deals and then were expected to look at the guy who did it everyday. he got the short end. dhop wasnt pretty but he commands a healthy pay check. as did jj. both worth it. but big hits on cap space.
I can see Cade at 2. Unspoken chemistry w him and Cj.. I can see brevin being in the slot a lil more w a 2 tight end set of Cade and dalton 🤷🏾♂️ just my opinion tho

Billy O was a B- to B head coach. Overpaid for Osweiler, overpaid to get rid of Osweiler, then over paid to trade for a 3rd string qb in Ryan Mallet. Tom Savage had potential and O'Brien didn't try to develop him. Then you look at his drafts. As a head coach, even without the GM hat, he has a lot of say in the draft room and his drafts sucked
As a head coach, I don't think he did a bad job. I would give him a B based on the talent we had. The problem is, at some point, I feel like he didn't want to be in Houston. His relationship with players became a problem. He is the reason Andre didn't finish his season in Houston. Trading DHop was crazy. I truly believe, he tried to get fired, and it took way too long for it to happen, so he tried to destroy the franchise

F!!! Rick Smith was still our GM he stepped down after the 2017 draft. Rick signed Osweiler then traded him to Cleveland for a 2nd round pick and traded up in the draft for Watson.
