Hey Capt., been watching your adventures for a long time. I always enjoy watching and am amazed at your driving skills, especially entering locks. Be safe and keep us updated with the beautiful sunrises. Be safe and keep the shiny side up!
Capt. Kyle, I have a favor to ask. Could you slow down just a bit on panning? By the time I figure out what we are looking at - we are somewhere else. I really enjoy the sights along the river and sights aboard the tug You used to be slower on the pan and that was great. Or not. I'll watch anyhow.
Love the videos. Lived by the Mississippi all my life. (Wittenberg, Star Landing, Red Rock). Been on Tower Rock and caught lots of fish. In Chester now. Would love to see more of the engines and how tows are made up.
I know that river pilots are licensed by various stretches of river. But do you also have to get licensed or qualified for different horsepower or size of tow?
I spent time on the Ergonaut once, field checking the original electronic chart created by the Corps of Engineers. Caught her at Dennis landing and down to Missouri Bend, back up to Vicksburg. Capt. Jay was on her.
Capt. Could you give us some info and some pictures of those big ass spot lights you all use. I've seen them in use and damn those things can throw a bright beam of light over a mile away. THANKS CAPT!!!
Ricky Greer we use 2 lights port and starboard 1 is Xeon and other is a yellow colored light for when it’s snowing or raining it has very little reflection of snow and rain so it’s easy on the eyes. Remote/manual use
I'm a new subscriber from New Zealand I have a few questions to ask and if you can answer 1 is there just you on board or are their more, 2 how long do you stay on board, 3 hours of shift. I'm just interested looks like a full on job while working and responsibility.
Love the boat swapen or just plain Going or Coming, To bad most of the crew boat pilots don’t liked to be on video 🤷🏻♂️🤔 What I’d REALLY like to see is the coming Alongside the Big Towboat 🚢 And yes, the Stone Straits wheel house is much smaller than Capt Andy’s boat...!!
It has it’s moments for sure. When there is real work, or on the bad days, I generally don’t get much footage. Pictures and video are very very low on the priority list.
That Boat He,s on is a Dravo built some time in the 70,s at Neville Island Pa...Its anywhere between a 5,600 to 6,200 H.P. and Diamensios are 140x42...
I am retired and disabled now, but Man, I sure do love your job Captain be safe
Thank you, sir. Lots more to come. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@marktwained ? Y ur jumping ships so much
I mainly relieve regular guys from boats. I prefer the schedule flexibility.

Before I die I’d love to see all the middle and lower Mississippi. Gods country
Nice equipment. Looks like maritime river is going well enough. Different.

Thanks for coming back
Do you shove into the ground when meeting traffic in a narrow spot? Do you just back out ?
I know that river pilots are licensed by various stretches of river. But do you also have to get licensed or qualified for different horsepower or size of tow?
I’m licensed for any river, any size. Yes, there are limited licenses for 100 ton and running different areas.

I should have said Carlisle Finch or Varo.
That E2MS 107 is one of my company's barges lol funny to see it in one of your videos
That E2ms barge is one of ours! Awesome to see since our company is so small
The USA is without doubt, the greatest country on the planet, and you my man have found the best number ever.. :)
I see bags and clean bunk rooms. It must be crew change day lol

Love the vids. I work in vicksburg and sit out there and eat my lunch sometimes.
I do not understand what happened with the Francis 9 years ago, please explain.
Love the boat swapen or just plain Going or Coming,

Awesome video. What was the waterway restriction for. It sounded like a runaway barge.
I won’t be back to see you good friend! I’m with golding barge line! Stay safe
did you forget to get on the boat before it left!? never had a problem paddling around the tows but i swear the crew boats were aiming for me! :^)

What a cool job CAP !
It has it’s moments for sure. When there is real work, or on the bad days, I generally don’t get much footage. Pictures and video are very very low on the priority list.
@@marktwained Thanks for taking the time their really good Vids CAP ❕🚢
Fascinating - but would echo the suggestion to slow down the panning.
Quick Question, why is the jackstaff at the rear of the tow instead of the head?
That location looks familiar.....
How do you see in front of the ship? You can’t?
Vicksburg?
Coming at you from the future..Slow down that waving of the camera and the zooming. Brilliant work if you did...
I never saw a pissed in a wheel house....lol
Hey Captain Carl what’s going on there buddy Brad from Minnesota
This is what we tankerman call a trash tow.
Who decides when a barge is not in proper shape to be used ?
I’m assuming this is one of Charles Sarai’s boats too?
Where u at Capt.
I think your job was better than mine.
Used to be a lot of Pokyhontas boys out there.
They were a mess...good ol boys though.
You need a steersman? 😂 Lol
OY! Kyle! Lately, your videos have been hard to start on UT.
Tell us the size and horsepower that these boats have.
That Boat He,s on is a Dravo built some time in the 70,s at Neville Island Pa...Its anywhere between a 5,600 to 6,200 H.P. and Diamensios are 140x42...
Ricky Greer thanks for the info.
Always wondered how you catch a boat. Interesting.! Takes a lot of people to pull all this together. Glad to see FOX news on the TV. Go Trump!
Trump is a fraud, bankrupt how many times ? Possibly a traitor ? How anyone believes in him is a mystery
Trump a coward and a fraud. PERIOD!
Can I have a shout-out please?
