This has become one of my favourite anime openings. I find that it is able to fluidly change between it's use of more modern music and a more classical style and finds away to make both parts amazing
excellent anime, totally underrated. Great animation, attractive colors, interesting characters and world building, humorous, and even great voice acting. It's refreshing to see a benevolent and altruistic character like Riguru Tempest, they are not very common!

Okay but the part in the opening where Rimuru seamlessly jumps away from their fight, slime forms to bounce away, and then re-forms into Human form IN THE MIDDLE OF CASTING THAT BLACK LIGHTNING ATTACK was the single smoothest animation I have ever seen, and that’s saying something since I Major in Animation
