Very happy to see my former commander Air Marshal PS Ahluwalia. He was my AOC (Air Officer Commanding) in Gwalior during Kargil war and displayed wonderful leadership qualities during that difficult time. The way he handled the difficult situations that time, I hadn't seen in my long career as an Air Warrior. The big man was very welfare minded and always kept the intrest of his juniors above his own. I listen to so many interviews and explanations from many high level military officials explaining how tough this war was and how indian soldiers had to go through such hardship... I failed to understand how our military was so unaware of such a deadly move into our territory especially in the area which is so important for our ladakh connection... Our military was not well equipped and didn't even have snow shoes ... 527 lives were lost due to military officials negligence.. then we have this self made restriction of not crossing loc which made matters more hard... This kind of laziness and negligence is everywhere and in every govt department.. attack on Pathankot air base is another example.. just watch the videos and decide... Absolutely disaster how few terrorists created so much havoc in the airbase... Wud anyone believe our military didnt have night vision glasses to combat few people... Many military soldiers didn't even have bullet proof vests.... We hide our stupidity and weaknesses by shouting out shaheed and jai hind sloagans to justify the unnecessary killings of our soldiers... Even recently we are losing many many military lives to few terrorists.. if military is well equipped and borders are so protected then how these lapses of security keep happening every week and many many lives being lost unnecessarily... Stop using shaheed word for such soldiers.. they are killed by many of our negligent attitude and system... Our soldiers are still unequipped and unprepared and we continueosly putting them in very very dangerous situations... This veer ptogram is another prime prime program to get more innocent and untrained ppl to get killed ... Govt will call them shaheed after...
Dushman ke pass pounch ke Rifle & grenade ke sath ladne ke liye hamare fouj ko andhera hone ke baad 3000 se 4000ft ki chadai par kaar ke jaab najdik pounch te thhe tab taak subha ho ja te thhe. Usko toh upar baith ke niche ka har ek harkat dikh jata oor oh hamare tukri ko khataam kaar dete thhe.17000-18000 feet height me ek kadam chad ne ke liye jaan nikal jata.Saab kuch aise easy nehi thha. Oor ehi kaar teh huye itna jaan gaya.
