I'm not ordering from Hobonichi this year, but I enjoyed watching your haul. I skipped the previews so that I wouldn't be tempted and all these covers you bought are new to me. I love the dog one with the halo. And the brass banana is too cute. Had I seen that banana earlier, I probably would have caved and bought from hobonichi this year, lol. Thank goodness it's sold out. They are both so sweet! I am not using my Little Gifts covers just yet, but I keep taking them out and looking at them, lol
Great video! I got the A5 and A6 versions of the Tomomi Nishikawa Dog! I love him so much! According to the description, the dog is actually "immersed up to its neck in a cup of hot Japanese sake. It seems so comfortable that it is on top of the world, surrounded by a heavenly beautiful view." And that really sealed the deal for me. Haha!
I'm a big fan of the textile covers. I have the Mina Perhonen red and green "Jardin" cover that I still use on my current day-free for 2023. I do put the cover-on-cover on all my textile ones, they seem to fit and it protects the fabric from any grime or staining. And if I ever wanna feel the texture I just sneak it off for a little bit lol.

I guess I should've read the description! 😂 I tried a CoC on the A6 and it didn't fit at all. So I'm going to be a bit more careful with that one. But I have the A5 on my current journal and I am loving using it so much! It's so soft! I will be paying a lot more attention to the textile covers from now on. Thank you!! 🥰

Got many of the things you got. Also i hot 2 sets of a5 folders cause one set iam gonna frame it for the wall. Yes i like it that much. Its been so happy since 2018 since Sebastian masudas covers. Hope that make these prints into bags pouches etc next line cause i want them all.

For any fabric covers ive used Scotchguard on them for waterproofing and it works great. Might be good for your doggy, too :)

I resisted the weeks this year and trying to fight my FOMO seeing all the beautiful options this year. The dog cover is a stunner. I could not resist the hon a5 even though I told myself I didn’t need it this year. The A 6 original is really all I needed but why stop there🤣🤣. You have great haul and no-one needs to justify their choices.

I see so many people buying in bulk out of fomo, unboxing and then say I may keep this one and sell the rest....why??? Why not just buy the one that you really want and leave the rest for others to buy. This is why, covers especially, get sold out extremely fast because of this type of culture. And then we see those exact same covers being sold on ebay or etsy for double if not triple the price. I'm sure you don't do that, but a lot of people care more about the profit they will get for selling stuff than the hobo products itself...it's just selfish and morally not okay. I truly don't want this comment to be seen as a hate comment, but personally I really want the Tomomi dog cover that you are showing and it's sold out ofc....and is sold for double the price from resellers everywhere. I saw a bunch of youtubers saying that they don't like this specific cover that much and they may sell it later...then why buy it??? I don't know, call me bitter but it's not fair.
I totally get this. It can be frustrating to see someone just buy everything to “try on for size.” That being said, I kept (and have been using) every item here, except I sold one of the Weeks - and I didn’t sell it for much of a profit, if anything. I just wanted to make my money back. This year had some of my favorite items that I’ve ever seen. The Tomomi dog covers have been my favorite this year. I’m sorry you missed out on them. There are a few covers from previous years that I missed out on, too, so I have felt your pain! Once in a while I’ve come across “grail” covers for a great price - the Facebook group is a good place to look or to post a WTB. My advice for this year is to follow the reveals throughout August so that you know what you want and can be ready to make your purchase on September 1 (or on the evening of August 31 if you’re in the US). I don’t blame you for feeling this way, nor do I read this as a hate comment. I hope you will find your dog covers for a decent price when the time is right! Crossing my fingers that hobonichi will re-release them for you!

I'm truly not this negative but I was upset because I saw an insane amount of youtubers literally talking about reselling and the profit. It's just so frustrating and unfair. I could've commented on their videos but instead I did on yours, I apologise for that. Thank you for not using the brand as a profit view like others do. I'm glad that you are enjoying it because that's the main purpose. And of course I'm all for selling it and getting your money back. That's fair. It's just tiring to see the prices that many resellers put on and obviously we buy it because we don't have another option. Btw I got into hobonichi this year so I've missed on the first release. I will definitely be more aware for the collection on next year

😂 Truthfully if it weren’t for the covers, I would be much more tempted to seek out other TRP notebooks with cute covers. I love them! I hope you get some wonderful things!
