I think we natives should have our own ceremony at home or in are own community who want to celebrate around people that don’t embrace us

Sissy superintendent, afraid of dealing with any aftermath of a song on their day of joy, zero spine.
Let them have their day and song.

Oh, FFS! Walk the stage, grab your paper, and go home. Anything beyond that is a waste of time.

My school celebrated over ten religions without any issue. Public high school in Minnesota with over 1,500 students and 80 faculty. Everyone came together and the only thing that went wrong was they played an uncensored version of baby got back. I have no religion. I'm not saying this because I believe in any of it. I have no bias. These ceremonies are about the community. Religion builds communities. It brings people together when done properly. This school is made up of 30% native students.

The mayor and governor concur , it would be righteous to protest. 500 million in damages, no biggie.

The superintendent is actually right about this. I'm with the school board. Do the performance, but just not during graduation. I think the alternative was fair. Just like a pastor shouldn't give a blessing during a public school graduation. Sad there wont be a band or choir...

The choir actually sings a song with the word god included. Irish blessings.
