When I had the flu as a kid, and was lying on the sofa recovering, and my sister came in and played PSO and I watched her until I fell asleep and this song ended up in my dreams.
I wonder if we all have a 'when I had the flu and my sibling played a game in my room' stories. For me, it was my brother playing Ocarina of Time and the song was Lost Woods.
So... There is a lot of song in this very game that make me feel nostalgia, but god, oh dear god, this one is special. Because its where it all started. The online experience in gaming on console discovering people like you, creating team, friendship, talking, fooling around, dancing, creating strategy, trading item, fighting fosd for hours and hours, getting lost in this world whil not knowing that its been 12 hours you've been playing and that you havent seen the time fly by. For that very experience, a first on console, sega deserved such a better fate. Thanks a lot for this, the Dreamcast will alway be special and the best ever for those kind of experiences that werent to be seen on other console in the the next 3 years that followed that game. So ahead of its time.

Wish I could've got to play this when it was brand new but didnt have a dreamcast 😔One of the best multiplayer games I've ever played, nothing that comes out today even comes close.
Online PSO was definitely an experience I'll never forget. I had all the rare Yasminkov guns for my Ranger, although they were hacked weapons (not earned but with normal DPS) but literally 90% or more of the player base had hacked items on Xbox. So I didn't feel to scummy. But damn the game was still incredibly fun. I remember all the photon chair races people had in lobby. All the people I had met through out the couple years I played.. even met a couple girls that I played with frequently that my 11/12 year old self loved lol. The damn box cheaters too.. oh boy. Plus, lets not forget the nasty images people would spam all throughout the lobbies all day... every day. Amazing times.

My High School girlfriend “Snuck” over one night Late, around 1am while I playing PSO. I went AWK in the lobby, A very fond memory of mine involves this song.
@@ChannelZeiko I mean, with Ephinea, it's right as you spawn in, and with PSO2 NGS, it's the first city you go to. At the entrance, make a right, there should be a fountain surrounded by tables and chairs. During the day it plays that song.

I love that I got the sega Dreamcast theme for my 3ds so nostalgic. It has this song in the back with Dreamcast startup and sound effects from the menu and phantasy star online . That era from like 1999-2009 is so amazing and this music reminds me of it

I played on a few privater server and I actually loved this game. PSU was my first Phantasy Star Game but I felt like my old self trying to learn this game. So much fun.

You can ge a nintendo 3DS theme that has th dreamcast start up sounds and then this PSO music plays. I highly recommend it.

This song now can be heard in the Ephinea private server, and in PSO2 NGS in the fountain area in Central City.
When I get that far I can't wait to hear it.
