    This record can NOT be broken without breaking the bones of some spectator.

      This is the sport Pole Vaulting derived from.

      It is very hard; takes speed, strength, precision and guts. Once you understand the sport it becomes very impressive to watch.
      Of course it helps to be tall; the people of the Netherlands are the tallest in the world. Not freakishly, healthily (except for hitting your head in low doorways 😖 old farmhouses in Belgium and Switzerland are best avoided if you are Dutch).

    If he made it just one or two feet more he'd have broken some of his bones and the bones of the audience sitting too close. Why are they allowed to sit there?

    • @fierljeppen
      @fierljeppen  Год назад +7

      Well, because he jumped a record here. The accamodation are build that they are a few metres more than the previous record and thats enough because there is no way that somebody will be able to jump a few metres futher than the previous record, because they are so hard to break.

    Looks dangerous

    • @fierljeppen
      @fierljeppen  7 месяцев назад +1

      It looks more dangerous than it is in reality! Jumpers are trained how to land, so they don't break their bones!

    Dat hij zijn enkels niet breekt :)

    • @fierljeppen
      @fierljeppen  Год назад +3

      Fierljeppers landen op een speciale manier waardoor ze niks breken, namelijk via de enkels naar de heupen, dus ze landen op hun zij. Door het op deze manier te doen wordt de val over het hele lichaam verdeelt waardoor je niks breekt! :)

      probably 😅He could not have gone much further, because then he would have landed in the people. Then he would break a lot of bones, but not dead I think 😅
