@@aierluscher Yeah, but doesnt receive a single austrain soldier, in instead of french army, that concrete a partly new goverment with an Austrian prince, Maximiliano. Regional music has it origins in the German (and mainly defeated countries in I world war) polka cause a flow of inmigration to northern parts of México (especially sinaloa)
Yeah but easily explained. Central Texas (Hill Country, basically everything between San Antonio and Dallas) had a huge influx of Central Europeans. Germans, Austrians, Czechs, Poles, Swiss, Bohemians, Moravians, etc. One thing they all had in common was the love of polka and its signature instruments like the accordion. The Tejanos (Hispanic Texans) who lived near and among these new settlers fell in love with the polka rhythm and instruments then adapted them to make music in Spanish. This is how Tejano/Norteño music was born. It spread westward to California and south to the border area along with tejano out-migration from central Texas. I remember listening to it growing up in Texas and Mexicans were ambivalent towards or despised it. They did not consider it Mexican but a weird American music. It gained popularity as it became the default style for “narco corridos” or just “corridos “. People on the border in Mexico close enough to get American radio stations in Spanish that played it began appreciating it first. Then its popularity spread into the interior of Mexico. But I still talk to Mexicans today from the deep interior who are baffled as to why so many people like this foreign music. It has become the Spanish language equivalent of gangster rap today.
I lived in Sweden recently. For the most part, it's an extremely pleasant, well-organised, clean and efficient country. There are certain neighbourhoods that are not pleasant, although nowhere near as bad as Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, St Louis or New Orleans.
