    Love, love, love the final cards! I have used a comb when making backgrounds on my Gelli plate, but not direct to the paper! Great idea!

    This is, hands down, a new favorite technique Natasha! It reminds me of cake decorating, the whole swirling process. Totally awesome gold star idea! lol🌷🌷

    @Natasha Foote • One of the things I love about this technique is the texture it creates. I think adding texture to cards really appeals to children & seniors. Children are just starting to explore the world so this just opens up a tactile door for them.
    Seniors, whether they admit it or not, may not have the same visual and color acuity of their youth so providing them with a tactile experience keeps their interest up.
    I like the way you showed how to keep going with the yellowish background that lost definition so you added blue. That's the difference between giving up and trusting the process. 👍

    The thing i was interested in was i thought the pink flowers would go on the pink background and vice Versa but it looks so much better the other way around. Stunning job Natasha.

    These are fabulous cards, I'm loving the combing technique with acrylic paints! I never thought to use acrylic paints as a watercolour technique is stamped and embossed images! That's my next project so thank you for showing me. I especially love the butterflies on the vellum against the purple red background. Beautiful. ❤

    I really enjoyed this video showing how to make the texture using a comb. My favourite is the plum colour with the butterflies 🦋 😍 but they are both good

    I must admit, I was a bit worried with this technique… a hair comb you say? But WOW -you pulled it all together!!! You have the best card making/technique videos. You are definitely relatable, as crafting with little ones was difficult for me. So, I now have young adults and and I really appreciate the time you take to share with us.

    I never doubt what you do in card making, you're the expert so I know it's going to turn out beautifully! I love this technique so much, the backgrounds remind me of Missoni knits, especially the really zig-zag-y ones. So pretty, and it looks like a lot of fun, too!

    Ooh! Finally a use for at least one of the 1001 combs we found when we went thru mum's stuff earlier this year. She had to have at least one for every handbag .... And she had a LOT of handbags lol. Also, another technique I can apply to the acrylic paints I bought in for gelli printing 😂

    It would be so cool to dry brush some copper or gold or another highlighting colour over that texture to bring it out. Very cool background & as always you’ve pulled off some colourful, unique cards.

    I found that if you do a thin base coat, let that dry, then do your texture over the top (I use a nit comb) you get a good depth of colour. 🙂

    I honestly thought this looked super cool from the beginning! You did an awesome job! I also tend to run out of steam for the sentiments, so now I actually keep a bunch ready to go in a bag so I can pop one on if I don't have the energy to do the whole thing! I often stamp a couple extra when I'm making a sentiment and add them to the bag and it works wonderfully!
