Fleur my iphone was doing the same so the apple store told me to adjust a few things, seemed to help! Turn your brightness down, turn off Bluetooth and wifi when not using it, close all open apps running in the background (google how to if not sure), turn off location services, and lastly turn off the keyboard button volume

Also if you have email on your phone go into settings and turn off the "fetch new data" and make it "manual" otherwise your phone is always searching for new emails which drains the battery :) also go into your location services in settings and turn it off for the apps you don't use often

I have the same Rebecca Minkoff bag as Elle but in the mini mac version and i have to agree having that colour the dye on your jeans rubs off onto the back which is slightly annoying, even a leather protector doesn't help it
