IMHO, one of the most subtle but proud moments was when Frank, in the middle of speaking about his deceased cop son, sees his two cop sons, in their dress blues, standing at the top of the escalator, having just jointly stopped the criminal son, dressed as a priest, from assassinating Frank. Amazing, I don't know if I'm imagining, or if it was the effect of their similar haircuts, but Danny and Jamie actually looked like brothers standing there, proud they had just kept their Dad from suffering harm. To me it was an emotionally charged moment. It was great that you included it.
This video is a strong reminder of what makes Blue Bloods such a popular series - it's not just the everyday stories of the good and the bad that people in Gotham do to each other, and the responses that the bad of such actions bring from four generations of a family named Reagan, but the interplay of the people in that family among each other, the additional people that work with the Reagan's every day, and who are considered part of the Extended Reagan Family - Linda, the young nurse who has been the long time sweetheart of Danny, whom Frank considers another daughter, and looks to her for her knowledge about things medical that effects one or more of the Reagan's; Maria, Danny's faithful partner, who has Danny's back, who handles the Spanish language duties of their team and who manages to keep the lid on Danny's sometimes explosive reactions to perpetrators; and Eddie, the partner of the youngest Reagan brother, a gutsy gal who has Jamie's back (and maybe his heart) and who struggles against a father with whom she has emotional difficulties b/c of his grand thievery and the resulting destruction of her family. Regular people, living their lives, interacting with and looking out for each other, who bond through their regular Sunday dinners.
I continue to be overwhelmed by the interaction and cooperation of the two brothers, especially when I see such things as the proud looks of their father at the success that results from their working together, often without saying a word, and in the case of this video, at the eye signals which resulted in the stopping of the attempted assassination of their Dad during the ceremony acknowledging the naming of the Atrium of the College of Law Enforcement after their deceased oldest brother. OMG, how much they look like brothers.
I know this was made a long time ago however if anyone see’s this comment and knows what episodes are at 3:00 (footballs shirts) and 3:36 (Linda and Danny’s two boys sleeping on Frank) that would be much appreciated.
They don't make shows like this anymore....literally! But, it was worth watching every single dinner scene!
thank you so much this is one of my favorite shows it's just that i started to watch it lately.
