Personally I think they should have switched Alecia and Tai, because as we see in the season Tai is pretty physically competent, what with him climbing all the trees and taking care of the tribe, and he even won immunity. I don't think that would have been the BEST spot for him but it would have made more sense at least.
The only issue with that is that the beauty and brain tribes would’ve had a gender imbalance. The only way switching Alecia and Tai would work is if they switched another two players from the two tribes. Maybe Darnell and Michelle?
Poor Alecia feels like they filled up the beauty tribe and just threw onto Brawn cause there was an open spot. At least with Tai the claim of "inner beauty" has some merit if an outlier. Poor Alecia, doesn't help when you have Scott and Jason on the tribe. The last of the pure asshole villains. She does prove her inner strength with how she was treated, stood her ground and was able to take something positive away from it.
With koh rong. My theory is that there was a planned experiment with the season where they took 3 people and put them on "the RONG tribe": Tai, Alecia, and Debbie. But Debbie kept changing her job every ten seconds, that it all became very confusing to the viewer and in editing they decided to go with inner beauty and inner brawn and label Debbie as a Chemist initially instead of their plan of having people on the RONG tribe.
The most gratifying thing for me on the age gap seasons is that fact that while I'm "technically" a millennial, my upbringing was more consistent with Gen X, so I consider myself sort of in between those generations. Survivor, for all it's flaws, and I always have and always will love it unconditionally, got something coincidentally and hilariously right with MvGX. Every member of the Gen X tribe was older than than me. Every member of the Millennials tribe was younger than me. Call that seasonal gimmick dumb if you want lol, and I won't disagree, but somehow it made sense in context.
Theoretically the poker player could have been on the Brains tribe. Garrett being an example. But not THAT poker player. It’s been made clear she’s particularly lacking in the one requisite for being a “brain”.
People justified Tai on beauty with his personality, why can’t Alecia’s strong ass tolerance be her brawn quality. People don’t take well to being bullied or ousted on survivor and Alecia just was vibing. She made fire for five hours too…
I used to be an actuary, and while "saving insurance companies money" is kind of a gross oversimplification, I remember laughing at her inclusion in the heroes tribe. Actuarial science is hard, cold business, without the kind of emotional lift you require to consider something "heroic". Even the glass ceiling argument is pretty weak. I had a ton of female colleagues, many in power positions. She was still a good casting choice though. Casting over theme always works.
The thing is I've never once heard Cirie say she was apart of the "Black Widow Brigade." That is Parvati's thing I don't think Amanda or Cirie ever called themselves that. Maybe Natalie did. Danielle voting out Terry pissed a lot of people off.
I've been pitching Boomers vs Zoomers for years now!!! Survivor is running out of time now too. Boomers are ~58-73 years old. Zoomers are ~11-26. It'd be totally unfair physically and they'd probably end up with some medical issues. But I would love to see the generational clash.
The question I want to know is why did Sierra Dawn Thomas get picked for Game Changers over Carolyn (Mama C) Rivera when Jeff said he wanted to see her back and promised that she would be back..?
Yknow ironically coach was more a villain on outh pacific than he was on heroes vs villains I mean remember that bro moment crisis of conscious moment coach had with Tyson about being seen as a villain
I think one I need to talk about is in Australian Survivor: Brains vs. Brawn, primarily involving Baden Cooke, who's profession was an Ex-Professional Cyclist, yet placed on the Brain Tribe. Nothing bad about it, just a bit of a weird pick of tribe placement in hindsight.
death, taxes and idoled out dunking on candice for being a hero sksks. back to the video though, i actually like tai and alecia being on beauty and brawn respectively. i liked that they challenged what people stereotypically think as beauty and brawn. alecia might not have looked physically stronger than her tribemates, but id say shes stronger than all of them for all the crap she had to endure. while tai gave more of a refreshing outlook on the beauty tribe, who really didnt offer much in cagayan. and its interesting how you talk about worlds apart, cause it’s probably one of the best cast seasons in terms of themes but its one of the worst casts overall.
I kind of hope you do this for returning tribe seasons because I still think - besides the obvious frustrating placement of Candice on Heroes... or her on HVV in general - Cirie and Amanda should've been on the Villains tribe. I don't care that it would've been a Black Widow Brigade reunion (especially considering Natalie AND Erik were on standby for HVV), like... justifying Cirie and Amanda as "heroes" for being more light-hearted in their gameplay is ridiculous. If anything, Cirie was the queenpin of the BWB, Parvati rallied the troops, and Amanda deserves an Oscar for acting her ass off and betraying Alexis at the F5 of Micronesia.
You're probably right. For Cirie though, I think they were going off of Panama Cirie instead of Micronesia Cirie. Her whole Panama narrative was this heroic journey of someone who got off the couch and did very well in the game. So I can see why she fits on the Hero tribe. For Amanda, she's such a neutral player that it's gonna be hard to put her in either tribe. So I guess it just came down to where there's a space to be filled in, the Villain girls were leaps and bounds more villainous than Amanda so she probably became a Hero by default.
I think that Amanda, in both her prior seasons, was portrayed more heroically (and portrayal is what matters, nearly all of the heroes had seriously villainous elements to their game(s)) due to being in an endgame alliance with people who leaned into the villain role (Todd, Courtney, Parvati and Natalie). Keep in mind especially that, IIRC, Amanda being in on the Ozzy vote was not out in the open at the time of HvV. As @R L said Cirie was more a hero for Panama (similarly Steph was there for Palau Steph as opposed to the obviously villainous Guatemala Steph).
They should have switched Alecia and Julia. Alecia and Julia basically look like they are sisters, but Julia seemed to get along with the Brawn tribe much better.
Can we just have a season called "Survivor Apocalypse" where the theme means taking alllllll the worst players and see who wins! Seriously, I bet there is a lame duck that'll look like a Swan among turkeys! And have no tribes and re arrange everyone for team immunity and only the 1 or 2 losing teams head to Tribal. Finally, post merge should be no hidden immunities and if you want to be declared safe, merely sacrifice your vote for two tribals until you hit final 5
My mum had a theory for the brain v brawn v beauty season, she said that they placed a brain in the beauty tribe and a brawn in the beauty tribe and a beauty in the brown tribe…. If that makes sense… for example tai on beauty tribe, like the fella was super smart
Shaun kinda makes sense as he himself identified as more of a contender than a champion. He said it’s cause he felt like he didn’t achieve much with his career, especially when you consider that he was forced into retirement cause of injury and had to watch his team win without him.
I need you to know I paused as soon as you started the segment and I don’t care what you say next(I mean I might it depends) Ty is the only perfect placement in all of survivor history hi soul was more beautiful than any person on the beauty tribe he is such a beautiful wholesome man that made that whole season much more pleasant… except for when people hurt our sweet beautiful boy.
Worlds Apart nailed the occupation theme because it captured social class and POV on life as well. The cast of HHH just didn’t have anything interesting in common to form 3 groups. Production should have moved Ghost Island up and then used it for both seasons in the 35/36 filming cycle (so HHH would become Ghost Island and Ghost Island would become Ghost Island 2)
I always wondered why LJ was on the beauty tribe. I asked it on Reddit one time and got both downvoted and insulted in a judgement free questions post…
I don't believe that you don't really know I Candace was on the hero's tribe the reason she was on Heroes versus Villains is because they kind of owed her a return because she couldn't make Micronesia and then for Heroes versus Villains she was originally on the villains tribe and parv was on the hero's tribe but Russell said that Boston Rob complained about something and they swapped them the last minute
Really wish they'd leave Fiji for a season or two for themes again. Some seasons where it's based off the culture are so good. Like let's get a pirate season again, please. or just don't care you're on fijiand start making themes anyway.
I imagine it’s probably down to her being self employed but also still having a pretty free spirited vibe and chill demeanour. I mean, when I think of a sailing instructor, I think of spending a lot of time in the beach vibing, even if they’re technically working.
yes candice deserved to be on the heroes tribe! she mutinied, she was sent to exile island 4 times, she made both adam and billie fall in love with her, etc
I'm still trying to figure out why they not only cast Caleb but put him on the BEAUTY tribe after BB16. Or cast Dan Spilo when he looks like he could be related to Harvey Weinstein and he works in HOLLYWOOD.
Caleb being on the beauty tribe actually makes sense, because he's a fairly attractive guy, so it's not like Survivor casting would have to really do any work to try and justify his placement there
Tai being a gardener, could more easily have fit with Brawn, and also, hindsight, that alliance he had with Scot and Jason could have occured earlier. And Alecia fits beauty fine.
Scot Pollard repeatedly flexing his "champion" status over Alicia when he played for about 3 total hours of the Boston Celtics' championship-winning season (for non-sports fans: that's in a season of 82 games that are each 48 minutes long), none of it in the playoffs, never fails to both frustrate and amuse me.
maybe it's just because i'm not an NFL fan but i've never gotten why people question chrissy being a hero but don't question alan being one as well? katrina makes more sense if you wanna consider an athlete being an hero for representing her country and all that stuff, but what makes a random football player no one's ever heard of a hero?
I admit that I didn't like Alecia... but I hated Scot and Jason a lot more. In fact, Scot is one of my least favorite Survivor contestant... ever. Scot seems to be the biggest hypocrite that I have ever seen on Survivor... he bullies Alicia, he has this I'm always right attitude, and he got irritated when Alecia voted for him when he did the same thing to her (when writing Ale-see-ya). I mean what did he expect, Alecia not vote when he and every other contestant did. He would have the same attitude when Tai and Cydney voted him off.
The only real disagreement I have here is Tai. Tai definitely belongs on the Beauty tribe. His profession is to beautify things, his spirit is beautiful, and let's be honest, he's a diva when he wants to be (in a good way). I think the theme they were going for in this was Beauty is more than just appearances and I think that would have resonated had they played into that theme more during the season and with the casting. Instead they seemed to take the vain approach with Beauty and that kind of left us with what we got. So yes, Tai didn't belong on THAT beauty tribe, but not for the reasoning out pointed out.
she was in her mid-thirties if I’m not mistaken. kinda fucked up and I think Courtney was around the same age as her and was put on the younger woman tribe.

Im sorry but Tai being on the beauty tribe because he’s beautiful inside was very patronizing 😂
No.
I finally realised why Candace was on the heroes tribe, for surviving exiled Island 26,285 times in Cook Islands
Tai is very kind and tai is beautiful in the heart(I posted this before you said he was in beauty for inner)
Tai, Keith Nale, and Taj are the holy trinity of wholesome Survivor players
Yau Man?
@@nathan4327 another amazing player
@@nathan4327 Yau would put himself on the villains tribe
Tai is super overrated Very disloyal
The most gratifying thing for me on the age gap seasons is that fact that while I'm "technically" a millennial, my upbringing was more consistent with Gen X, so I consider myself sort of in between those generations. Survivor, for all it's flaws, and I always have and always will love it unconditionally, got something coincidentally and hilariously right with MvGX. Every member of the Gen X tribe was older than than me. Every member of the Millennials tribe was younger than me. Call that seasonal gimmick dumb if you want lol, and I won't disagree, but somehow it made sense in context.
Throwing shade at Candice is always welcome
Theoretically the poker player could have been on the Brains tribe. Garrett being an example.
But not THAT poker player. It’s been made clear she’s particularly lacking in the one requisite for being a “brain”.
The worst part with Chrissy was that she could have fit very well into the Hustlers tribe. I mean, she no doubt hustles plenty
What do you mean Tai shouldn’t be on the beauty tribe!? He’s great and fits perfectly there.
I think he meant it based on how previously the beauty tribe fit the description in Cagayan as young and sorority type people
Yeah, I know but I think he should still be there anyway
Me, in 2016 defending Alecia: 😤👊
Me, in 2026 defending Alecia: 😤👊
Me, forever, defending Alecia: 😤👊
she deserves a second chance fr!!
My favorite pre merge survivor that season
Danielle from Casaya: Villain
Parvati from the Black Widow Brigade: Villain
Cirie from Casaya and the Black Widow Brigade: Hero
2 negatives = positive
The thing is I've never once heard Cirie say she was apart of the "Black Widow Brigade." That is Parvati's thing I don't think Amanda or Cirie ever called themselves that. Maybe Natalie did. Danielle voting out Terry pissed a lot of people off.
"wont be talking about candice"😂😂 every time i see her i wonder why she's on my screen.
8 and a half years later and I’m still baffled by the fact Nina actually survived 1 tribal council
Yeah I miss mama c
She was a replacement for Natalie Anderson
That one leopard kid in Zootopia looks up to Chrissy. That’s why she’s a Hero.
Tai is one of the best placements
Speaking of Tai, Luke when are you gonna do the best survivor chicken moments? Tai and Mark the chicken have to be number 1.
Yknow ironically coach was more a villain on outh pacific than he was on heroes vs villains I mean remember that bro moment crisis of conscious moment coach had with Tyson about being seen as a villain
Don’t forget Ken is a millennial and the closest person he was to in age was… mari.
replace taylor with ken on the millennials tribe. boom
I loved tai on beauty, I thought him being a Gardner was a funny take on it
Yeah I thought that was a good choice
This was a fun video theme to explore
death, taxes and idoled out dunking on candice for being a hero sksks. back to the video though, i actually like tai and alecia being on beauty and brawn respectively. i liked that they challenged what people stereotypically think as beauty and brawn. alecia might not have looked physically stronger than her tribemates, but id say shes stronger than all of them for all the crap she had to endure. while tai gave more of a refreshing outlook on the beauty tribe, who really didnt offer much in cagayan. and its interesting how you talk about worlds apart, cause it’s probably one of the best cast seasons in terms of themes but its one of the worst casts overall.
I love the Candice roasts as channels like yours did not exist back when her seasons were airing.
I will be extremely disappointed if I do not see the entirety of the HHH cast in this video
Will as no collar was crazy to me. For dancing with his wife in a parking lot?
That's Boomer attributes
I think Panama just split there girls and guys in half by age hints "older" or "younger" women/men. I think so at least
Honorable mentions: Shaun from Champions vs Contenders 2, Baden a pro cyclist being on brains, and Janelle being on brawn
Shaun kinda makes sense as he himself identified as more of a contender than a champion. He said it’s cause he felt like he didn’t achieve much with his career, especially when you consider that he was forced into retirement cause of injury and had to watch his team win without him.
@@abbyrose6660 did he say that on or off the show. If it was on the show it’s pretty much like saying that Candice is a hero
@@justinpascal8332 he said it off the show and i kinda agree with it. being an ex-professional athlete doesn’t automatically make you a champion.
i love luke vs heroic candice. its so fun
Unrelated- This current season is giving me ghost island vibes love the video
I’ve never seen Kaoh Rong so my god was I not prepared to hear that Tai was placed on a beauty tribe 😂
As you could probably tell, as subtle as it was in my video, I tend to agree with you with Melinda not being on the old tribe
You were very subtle when you screamed at Survivor production I can't disagree
13:38 So two tribals is a lot. Got it.
I'm curious why they got rid of, and in some cases hid, the life after survivor specials that took place before the reunion but aired after it.
Video Idea-Top 5 players you forgot found Hidden Immunity Idols like Kristina Kell John Rocker and Jenn Brown
Boomers vs Zoomers would be a great season.
I always wondered why LJ was on the beauty tribe. I asked it on Reddit one time and got both downvoted and insulted in a judgement free questions post…
That man is conventionally attractive. That's the only requirement.
I watch the videos just for the Candace dunks
I expected do see J'Tia and Spencer's voting confessional on the list.
At 10:10 you mentioned your arms looking like string beans… could we get an arm reveal?
Really wish they'd leave Fiji for a season or two for themes again. Some seasons where it's based off the culture are so good. Like let's get a pirate season again, please. or just don't care you're on fijiand start making themes anyway.
Why is a sailing instructor on the no-collar tribe again?
I imagine it’s probably down to her being self employed but also still having a pretty free spirited vibe and chill demeanour. I mean, when I think of a sailing instructor, I think of spending a lot of time in the beach vibing, even if they’re technically working.
Why do I want to watch a Survivor: Boomers vs Zoomers season....
Not Survivor related, but does Luke say "big stretch" when his cat takes those big stretches? Otherwise the big stretch didn't happen
yes candice deserved to be on the heroes tribe! she mutinied, she was sent to exile island 4 times, she made both adam and billie fall in love with her, etc
1:49 Candice? From the Heroes tribe? 😂
I'm still trying to figure out why they not only cast Caleb but put him on the BEAUTY tribe after BB16. Or cast Dan Spilo when he looks like he could be related to Harvey Weinstein and he works in HOLLYWOOD.
Caleb being on the beauty tribe actually makes sense, because he's a fairly attractive guy, so it's not like Survivor casting would have to really do any work to try and justify his placement there
Tai is one of the most beautiful ppl in that whole season.
Because a great many people see athletes in general as heroic and gridiron football is by far modern America's most popular sport, simple as that.
Sam Webb on the Heroes in the new Australian Survivor makes no bloody sense
Genuinely baffled that he's returning... He was a major part of why AU 2016 loses all momentum in the last half
Where's the cast? Having a hard time finding it
They’re revealing 4 cast members a week
Surprised J’Tia from Cagayan isn’t on here
as an actuary i will not stand for the chrissy slander
I am not watching yet but I guess Candice being placed on Heroes tribe is here as well as all the cast of Caramoan
We need a season of only coaches and debbies.. Don't you think?
Mum's can for sure be hero's!
I feel like Garrett from Cagayan should be on here. How is he a brain and not a brawn?
he's a professional poker player?
he has popcorn muscles
@@dashieprodx i forgot about that
Tai has a beautiful soul!!!
J'Tia on the brain tribe
As a 1997 Cusper, both the answers to the millennial question were bad
Love Chrissy but I always felt like she was more of a hustler than a hero.
Alecia should have been on Beauty, Anna should have been on Brains, and Debbie should have been on Brawn.
Thank you for posting the video. Why was Cirie on the "Older Women" tribe again?
she was in her mid-thirties if I’m not mistaken. kinda fucked up and I think Courtney was around the same age as her and was put on the younger woman tribe.
@@heatherparisi8250 Thanks for telling me.
