For the longest time I thought your husband was typing in the background--I had a whole story going of how he loved antique things and had a typewriter repair side hustle
Wow it shows how much you know crochet !! It looks beautiful the way you ' cleaned ' it up !! Way better than pattern !! Great job on this mystery!! Thank You for another great video 📸 !! ❤ It !!
Great job! Recently, when a pattern calls for a ch-1 when closing up a cluster or a puff st, in my mind, I've been calling it a button. It's just easier for me to think "Button it," rather than ch 1, then start counting chain stitches. It's the same with picots; I count the required number of chain stitches, then I shut them, rather than sl st (it's still a sl st, I'm just calling it something else). I never claimed to be normal...
Oh wow, this is one of my current projects! By around round 7, I thought it looked oddly familiar. I'm making it in size 30 crochet cotton on a size 1.5MM hook, so my squares are around four inches across. Love the way it looks in larger yarn though, it could make a nice throw blanket!
You mentioned having good comprehension while you were still in school. I was telling my mom I was having trouble understanding something. She said she didn't know why because my teachers said I had good comprehension skills. I said there's a difference between comprehending a story you just read in grade school and comprehending the instructions for something. 😉
NGL, I don't have the time or patience to watch your videos in their entirety, but I sure love to see the results. And this one is gorgeous. Earlier today I watched another video of yours and I searched YT for a vintage mystery knitting channel. Lo and behold, there is one. In the very first video I saw, she told she started her channel after watching yours. You are truly inspiring people.
You're not quite done but I'm already thinking that would be a nice top for a cushion! The popcorns might be bumpy, but it would just be for show. Very pretty!
I am old. It is so good the way you teach people to adjust that first chain. I think their way makes it easier to write, but experience teaches us what to do. And I laughed out loud when I saw you retract your “lock” ch when that pattern called for it. Love this. 💜
It is really nice and it could make a nice bag as well. It is so funny that you are questioning things I never would thought of. But sometimes the pattern means different, lol. Thank you for taking us with you. 👍💙
I have to give you a LOT of credit for using your extensive crochet knowledge and skill to make your way through these vintage patterns. Not for the faint of heart...... like me....
(this pattern is very lovely with your lovely work as always but what I really want to comment on is:) Listening to your cute voice and your A/C sounds are so relaxing for me. The A/C sounds like a fire crackling in the background and it's so calming
I hear ya, im working on a tutorial as we speak :) , it's a bit time consuming, so you may see 1 or 2 more mysteries first, but im working on something super fun and cute :) , tiny hint, it's from the 1960s
Thoroughly enjoyed your creative process; especially when you realize the issue with reading comprehension. Sometimes we have to slow down, and start over. I am definitely learning from you how to read patterns. This project is lovely.
I don't always vibe with some of the vintage patterns you've made, but this one is really pretty. One day you should do a quick little overview of all the various patterns and things you've made in this series; it'd be fun to see them all together. I was making a rose granny square petal this morning while watching, and as you were counting out all those popcorn stitches, I was fighting for my LIFE trying to get all my DCs and HDCs correct in each petal: half one, double one, double two, double wait...did I just do one or two? oh wait, that was HER counting that two holy crapppppp lol. I do this to myself every time I click on one of your vids hahhaha
I knew immediately what that pattern was once you got past the 6th round! I started that tablecloth 10 years ago and I'm still working on it every so often. I have been using size 10 bedspread weight thread in Ecru on a #7 steel hook. It truly is gorgeous. I have run into the problem of running out of thread and the dye lots are different now. Ugh! Not sure what I will do at this point. So happy you did this one. I didn't realize it was from 1933. Good to know.
I did enjoy this one. I do find myself telling you that you did it wrong but you always figure it out eventually. This motif could even be used in a cardigan.
Hey Ms Corinna!! Glad to see you! I figured out the issue of the sharp points of the thread hooks hurting our fingers. YAY! Instead of pushing the hook and forcing it through, place the point of the hook at the stitch you are working into, just under the thread, and with the fingernail of your hook hand index finger, pull the thread onto the hook. Repeat if you are working into both loops of the stitch. I noticed I was automatically doing this when using yarn when the stitch was tight, and the 💡 went on! So I tried it with thread, and, hey presto! It worked like a charm. Hope this little trick helps!❤️
I love this motif! I'm going to make one and like someone else suggested make it into a pillow cover, or maybe just a wall hanging. I'm thinking rainbow colors 😍 You totally nailed this one and I 100% agree with your choice to chain 3 instead of 5 for those clusters 😉
You’re right, this is so pretty! And I love that you don’t wait out your mistakes and you show us how you interpret the pattern when you think there is an error or how you can make it easier to understand. I would love to make this as a tablecloth.
Oh my! Just gorgeous! Can't wait to try it. So so pretty. By any chance is this pattern in your Etsy store? Or would that be considered as infringement issues? I love your work and how much you love to share with us. You are so sweet.
That is gorgeous, and your truly did nail it - I really want to make this one. So many way it can be used and I love it in the yarn instead of the thread.
Thanks for sharing. It's a beautiful pattern. This time I crocheted along (usually working on something else and just listening). To show case the "cathedral' part, it really needs at least 4 motifs......I probably am making 3 more now. Good thing it is an enjoyable make.
I made this along with you, but I didn’t use such a small hook! I’m sure that’s why you were popping your stitches. I didn’t have to add the extra chain between the popcorn stitches. I had plenty of room so I did count the “ lock “ stitch for the popcorn. Came out beautifully. I used hobbi’s horizon yarn.
Not me fast forwarding to the end to see if I want to grab some yarn and make it with you 😂
I just did the same thing 😂 Gorgeous pattern ❤
I just did the same thing. 😂 Gorgeous pattern ❤
That is right, beautiful motif! ❤
The suspense sometimes is too muts. I usually play a game with myself to see how long i can stay paiciant😊😊😊
So glad to see I'm not the only one who does that 😂
For the longest time I thought your husband was typing in the background--I had a whole story going of how he loved antique things and had a typewriter repair side hustle
You have a very creative imagination.
@@youdeservethis I find the sound comforting for some reason. Maybe because I am ancient and nostalgic.
I thought their dog was walking around on tile with a consistent pace. 😊
This is gorgeous! With a regular worsted yarn and larger hook, this would make lovely oversized afghan squares.
Wow it shows how much you know crochet !! It looks beautiful the way you ' cleaned ' it up !! Way better than pattern !! Great job on this mystery!! Thank You for another great video 📸 !! ❤ It !!
Thank you! 😊
If it was me I would have thought I was making a bag when the chain 7s were puckering up.😂 You did a great job!
Lovely!!! Cannot believe you can figure those crazy instructions out!!! My hat's off to ya!!! ❤❤❤

I can't tell you how excited I get wen I see a mystery pattern has uploaded ❤❤ sending you love and hugs from England 😁

What a fun surprise. Did you know the pattern you are using is at least 90 years old? Happy crocheting! 😄
Wonderful!
That's so cool!
I hope your wrists are all right when you're done! happy crocheting

I have to say, I’ve never seen anyone with the great comprehension and retention skills that you have. This is very pretty in this size of yarn.
An Art Deco pattern!! Woo hoo!!! It’s gorgeous ❤
Great video. You did an awesome job interpreting the pattern.
Thank you!

This would look great, backed and made into a cushion!!
So beautiful!! ❤
Your nails look really pretty in this video.
The 1930s is my favorite decade for clothing and decor.
I love it too. 😊
That is gorgeous. I'm just finishing the 1970s bobble bedspread. I think this might be next. ❤❤❤
Lovely, lovely, there's a cushion cover right there over a backing in this thread weight! Perfect x well done sweetie ❤️💖❤️
You're not quite done but I'm already thinking that would be a nice top for a cushion! The popcorns might be bumpy, but it would just be for show. Very pretty!
@@Jendarhan64 you can easily turn those popcorn stitches into clusters in no time.
So pretty. I love that it is square. I have a little table/cupboard that I use as a nightstand. I will make this to cover the top of it. Thank you.

Beautiful work, great job. I love the thicker yarn. It would make a beautiful bedspread!
I made this with you. I wanted to be surprised just like you. I Love this pattern 😍 It turned out beautiful
Your joy gave me joy. 😊
Another great success❣️ Justin did a great job picking out this pattern, and you did a great job crocheting it up!!! ❤❤❤❤ A masterpiece! ❤😊
So beautiful. Using that yarn it would be gorgeous pillow top. With a contrasting color fabric under it. Stunning
(this pattern is very lovely with your lovely work as always but what I really want to comment on is:) Listening to your cute voice and your A/C sounds are so relaxing for me. The A/C sounds like a fire crackling in the background and it's so calming
Beautiful! Thank you for another work of art!!❤❤❤
I am so excited for this video! I’m learning so much about reading patterns from these! ❤
Beautiful…. Another great result Corrina..❤️❤️
Oooh love this! (Also, i wish for more turtorials. I know you said it doesn't reach out as good as the mystery crochets but I love both 😅❤)
I hear ya, im working on a tutorial as we speak :) , it's a bit time consuming, so you may see 1 or 2 more mysteries first, but im working on something super fun and cute :) , tiny hint, it's from the 1960s
@justvintagecrochet Yeey! Love all your content so im not going to complain one bit about the mystery patterns 😅
You are just great at these patterns. Your take on row 8 was so much prettier. Thank you.
This one is very pretty. Thanks Corinna you nailed this one beautifully.
I’m only into the video at row 6. This is so pretty

🎉Loving this pattern. Thank you.❤
I will certainly make this! Thank you!

Definitely a win! Well done. It’s beautiful! In a finer weight it’d be lovely framed. 🦋
That is so beautiful! I really like how it looks in that picture as a tablecloth. And yours would be great in a blanket or something similar.
That is gorgeous
Ooooo that’s a nice one!

How about a tablerunner, so nice!

Beautiful work, Corinna!
Since it is cathedral window what if it was done in a dark (as in not pastel) rainbow variegated thread so it has that colored glass look.
This one is gorgeous! Well done!!!
I am yelling at my tv 2 try. You doing only 1. If I’m not mistaken. Love the mystery
Such fun to watch. Great job. Pretty piece flexible uses.
Beautiful motif!❤ Thank you!🙂
Love it. I've been looking for some yarn to match the colour of my curtains to make a sofa throw and I think this pattern would look great.
That's just beautiful😄!!
Love this, what a beautiful pattern! ❤ thank you 😊
Wow that's so beautiful and thank you for sharing ❤️
Love this pattern! I actually really like the larger yarn/hook❤ also love the nails, can you give a little tutorial on how you did it?
Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing 🎉
I really like this pattern. I would use it as a pillow top.
Beautiful!❤❤❤❤
Turned out great
Very pretty! God bless
Beautiful motif❤❤
This is beautiful!
Gorgeous piece! ❤️ Sorry this is late. Still not getting many of my notifications.
So pretty.!!
Love it!
It would be really cool if you could do a vintage or antique Halloween or spooky type pattern!
Oh my this is stunning. Question should it be made with a lighter thread?
I did 2 seperate TC clusters and it worked out fine..you need 20 clusters and the numbers worked out.. I think maybe its supposed to curl on row 8
