Thanks. They are worth it. I wouldn't buy a new one from TSC, though. They aren't made heavy enough to really work. Get an old one from craigslist and you'll get better results.
Awesome video ! I was wondering if the disc were going to cut through that dry hard soil . It seemed to do pretty good . I never planted a cover crop . I kinda always looked at it that my weeds was a cover crop lol . Thanks for sharing !
Yes, you could even do it in a raised bed. Rough up the soil, plant your rye seed, and rough it over again. One of the things I like best about winter rye is that it isn't finicky. All it needs is soil and moisture.
Excellent, I always learn something new ❤️
Nice! We don't have a disc...maybe worth the investment?

Thanks. The rye was only $18 for the 56lb bag, so it's pretty cheap. You could give it a try.
That old JD disc is heavy! It cuts pretty well.
@@smallfarmsurvival4026 That's pretty cheap for that seed . We might have to try it some time for sure .
Thanks for the video Can you do this on a smaller scale garden ?? Thanks
