If you were informed and smart enough to do basic problem solving then you would have realized a long time ago that if college is free for you,it has no value,and if you want it to be of value yet really easy to afford,all you would need to do is eliminate any and all government funding of college on both the local and federal level. The reason you cant afford it is because too many like yourself thought that they could make it more affordable by having the government foot the bill or back the loans. Before people like yourself had the gov do government back college loan programs,a semester of college was around 75$ in today's money when they started. Guess what happened to that rate a year after the government promised to foot the bill? This is the problem,people like yourself have good intentions,but are too shallow in their thinking. You see a problem in society and your first thought is "boy the government should do something about that" and you literally never learn the lesson from a very obvious pattern. Any problems that you can actually point your finger at,WILL only ever get much much worse the more you try to use government to solve it. And I say "yeah....but it cost around 1...." and you cut me off and say "I'm paying the bill and I don't care what it costs,I'll pay it" obviously I'm not going to say "it's only 1000$" I will say "it's only 10,000$?" And if year after year you hire me and keep claiming "regardless of the cost I'll pay it" each year I'm going to add a zero to the price until you are smart enough to say that's enough. How has that not been obvious to you when I'm sure during the debates that was a key issue for you? Why are people willing to vote for things yet not willing to set down and give it a good long think first?! I paid for college but I am not guaranteed a job or salary that will cover the cost. When have you paid to get a job.
