what TellTale does usually though is branch off from the main characters and develop their own but usually keep a few "recognizable" faces in there such as Hershel from TWD. Also in the trailer for ACU we see many choice based options just in the game itself such as saving people on the street but drawing attention to yourself in the process so i can only imagine what kind of ideas the amazing people at TellTale could come up with
Faded Panda Actually, i was thinking the same thing. This would be very potential as a Telltale game. Maybe some day, when Ubisoft has done so much with Assassin's Creed, it wants to try something totally different for a change.. It would turn to Telltale ;D.
Well, Tony Moore is the illustrator of the first 6 TWD books, and the Telltale's TWD art is inspired from the comic. So it's not really surprising if the art direction for this video reminds you of Telltale
This goes to show just how gruesome mankind can be. When tyranny stands above the downtrodden, they seek justice, but all that starts is the seed for new hatred and violence. For you see true change and peace and equality cannot be taken by the sword or by lies or secret meetings. Only when we ALL understand these facts and desire the chain to be broken can mankind turn the page and step into a new and bright future.

He did the story, not the art. The guy who illustrated it is Tony Moore, the creator of the Walking Dead. You can actually get a lot of his comics over at humble bundle right now. Or you can get 3 for free.
Nah rob zombie is a lot more bloody horror movie style, but it be awesome if he did make or at least help make the witcher3 or maybe even give some ideas.
ZackZyzzyvin Truthfully Moore has very little to do with TWD. He did, literally, 6 issues. The rest is Charlie Adler. THAT guy is a co-creator (because of him we saw Michone and because of him she's likely never to die, he half-jokingly told Robert Kirkman he'd quit if he killed comicbook Michone)

@Kyle P.V One only need to look at a map of France in 1793 to find your parallel with the British Empire irrelevant. A lot of criticism could be made against Robespierre but certainly not that he was corrupted. Robespierre didn't tolerate the excesses committed 'in the name of the republic'. Quite the opposite as he condemned those atrocities and the men who perpetrated them. I'm not defending him, I'm defending historical truth. Depicting him as a tyrannical leader (which he wasn't) meant that, once dead, he could be blamed for all of it.
Rob Zombie's vision of art infused with gore and "brutal" human primitive desire is outstanding. Easy to see as vulgar or ill, but none the less beautiful.
I'm a bit confused when it says 'The Republic had endured years of war and failed military campaigns' in reference to the lead up to the creation of the first National Assembly and the Tennis Court Oath in 1789. Pre-revolutionary France wasn't a republic, it was an autocracy.

Guys leave him alone. The mature rating means nothing anymore. 9 year olds are aloud to play God of war for godsake. And that game is one of the bloodiest games of the centuries
I just found out that this game and this trailer is accurate on history. I don't know why an "Ex-French" politician "slammed" ACU. Robespierre was a Hero and a Villain, he got a very complicated personality. ACU only portrayed Robespierre's monster side but it's still accurate. Well, everyone on the French Revolution was a monster. I also found out that some of the documentaries and books states that Robespierre shot himself and the other documentaries and books states he got shot by a gendarme.
What are you serious? He put himself in power, claiming to represent the people, and executed anyone that so much as whispered a word against him. Far from a saint, I'd say.
Not so. Much of what you have just said is either completely false or only contains an inkling of truth in a huge and complex context. I don't know if you've taken an AP-level Euro History course yet, but just what you learn in Global isn't enough. If you're genuinely interested in hearing why you're not exactly correct, I can comment with everything stating otherwise about Robes, but it'd be long and unsourced (RUclips comments aren't great for that sort of stuff), though you'd find anything I said to be a fact with a Google search.
Not truly what Robespierre did, either. Don't worry, I'm not insane or foolish enough to not have good reasons for defending him that I will also offer up to you, if you're interested.
Katie Luo From what i remember Robespierre wanted a republic of virtue.( That place where every one was equal and free) To me that's not taking power, However the problem was that there were enemies at the borders and counter revolutionaries inside the country slowly pulling apart the country. So the Terror was used as a means to try to remove this. The bigger problem, plenty of people took advantage of the terror to get rid of people they didn't like thus resulted in countless butchering of people. The way Robespierre fell, was actually more because of a few of his own mistakes but also partly because he wanted the terror to end.(I may be missing pieces on this.) His rivals were allot more blood thirsty then he was and wanted the terror to continue, but every one knew who Robespierre was, he was the committee of public safety's loudest voice. So during the Thermadore Reaction, Since they jumped on him first when he stated he had a list of traitors but didn't give the list of names (bad call there). Since he didn't give the list every one panicked because they thought they were all on the list to be executed. They arrested him, and He pretty much took the wrap for all of them. While the rest of them went under a very rapid political reform and got to live. Talk about screwed up. Feel free to chime in those of you whom have read more on Robespierre
The one thing I really want in ACU is how you can call your assassins like in AC2 or Brotherhood, I used to like walking like a boss and just whistle and my assassins kills the guards.
The French accents are silly of course. Just for ffect. Come on, in France they would have spoken French. It's just for effect. Just for the English speaking audience. I think the actor is not actually French, he purposely exaggerates some word (my bad, this guy's French!). But it's a fun clip that's for sure.
well then don't buy the game. Because the french revolution was something really nasty. So you might see alot of gross things in the game. But that's what i like about AC. No matther how gross the history was. It shows us everything like it was. Not like some games that they change the story to make it more "child friendly"
I thought it was going to be like a animated movie or something not a motion comic book style the director is stupid he said a animated short film not a motion comic book
This is a pile of bullshit. First, in a Historic side, then on the symbolic and characters side. The French Revolution may be shortened for a game, but not in any way... It is a chain of fast occurring and rather complicated events, but they all have their importance, as they each lay their mark on France.
I'm glad they are keeping history accurate (a little) after all this time. Nice to know they are not sell out's... Congratulations on the new game ubisoft. :)
All I could think of whilst watching this is Lords Of Salem (due to the style and involvement of Rob Zombie). What with the french revolution, this has peaked my interest somewhat more than past Assassin's Creedseseses...
Whatever you think of Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed, they do a pretty decent job of getting people interested in history.
They should include this in the curriculum for history classes.
If they did, a majority of them might actually pass.
Which is a good thing.
Pretty much all that would change if rob zombie made it, it just be a hell of a gory blood bath.
A for History lol
Yeah... because telling people that Templar's were 'evil' is completely historically accurate and Apples of Eden exist everywhere nowadays

Well, everyone on the French Revolution was a monster. I also found out that some of the documentaries and books states that Robespierre shot himself and the other documentaries and books states he got shot by a gendarme.
They're villiainizing Robespierre... no... fucking no.
Justifying terror as a tool sure makes for a nice, innocent figure right?
Makes me think "less Rob Zombie, more American McGee" from the looks of things.
We don't care, just show us some damn gameplay.
I care. Speak for yourself.
Fuck you. This was brilliant.
They are explaining back story for those who don't know the French revolution
I'm with you dude.
I couldn't give less of a shit about the fucked up country of France.
This is how they should teach history in school

The one thing I really want in ACU is how you can call your assassins like in AC2 or Brotherhood, I used to like walking like a boss and just whistle and my assassins kills the guards.
The english accents are starting to grow on me.
its french accent this is in the french revolution
Yes English the french accents may be too strong for some people
The French accents are silly of course. Just for ffect. Come on, in France they would have spoken French. It's just for effect. Just for the English speaking audience. I think the actor is not actually French, he purposely exaggerates some word (my bad, this guy's French!). But it's a fun clip that's for sure.
geinikan1kan In fact, it's the case, the narrator is a French actor, Féodor Atkine, he is also the french dub of Dr. Gregory House on House M.D.
geinikan1kan The actor is actually french, he's name is Feodor Atkine. In France, he's known for being the french voice of Hugh Laurie.
This is the best assassins creed Backstory I've ever seen!
This kinda grossed me out!...
well then don't buy the game. Because the french revolution was something really nasty. So you might see alot of gross things in the game. But that's what i like about AC. No matther how gross the history was. It shows us everything like it was. Not like some games that they change the story to make it more "child friendly"
How did this gross you out? I found it hilarious, look at the little head roll hahahahahahah.
Then don't get the game! The French Revolution was a :$#^€ng bloodbath, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Jungoguy Even more so if they put rob zombie's twisted ideas in there.
Unsurprisingly, it is a rob zombie video.
This video is amazing, I didnt expect anything less from Rob Zombie
I thought it was going to be like a animated movie or something not a motion comic book style the director is stupid he said a animated short film not a motion comic book
If you think this guy is stupid, I would urge you to look up more of Rob Zombie. Hes a twisted little fucker.
Zeke Delsken He's seen some crazy shit in his life. Not surprised :D
Well I'm a huge Assassin's Creed and Tony Moore fan..so this bought me.
This is a pile of bullshit. First, in a Historic side, then on the symbolic and characters side. The French Revolution may be shortened for a game, but not in any way... It is a chain of fast occurring and rather complicated events, but they all have their importance, as they each lay their mark on France.
4 ans après, on attend toujours tes arguments
Why Louis XVI is sitting in a medieval old stone castle? he was in Versaille...
Brilliant work, a masterpiece!
This is one amazing vid :O Awesome way of telling the story :D
I'm glad they are keeping history accurate (a little) after all this time. Nice to know they are not sell out's... Congratulations on the new game ubisoft. :)
Robespierre as a moustache-twirling villain, no mention of Louis-Antoine de Saint-Just, seems legit.
some sick art and animation here, kudos
imagine showing this to a 5th grade social studies class
assassins creed unity is gonna be gore galore AND I LOVE IT
What an INCREDIBLE piece of art!
this dark violent weird style remembers me dishonored anyone else? looks like it's going to be epic
i learned all this stuff through reading a textbook so it would be fun to play the game and see all the things i have leaned about come to life.
Well done, this video showed us pure bloody French Revolution.
All I could think of whilst watching this is Lords Of Salem (due to the style and involvement of Rob Zombie). What with the french revolution, this has peaked my interest somewhat more than past Assassin's Creedseseses...
My eyes pop up to see if there was something with zombies in assassin creed but its just a name
Rob Zambie is back and ready to spook up Assassins Creed! Sweet!!!
