It's a movie about Mortal Kombat, dude. I could care less about a story that's literally rebooted itself the last three games in a row. I'll care about character development once the games remember to care. As for the fights, it's literally just the moves from the games, like laser eye, hat toss, teleport, leg sweep, low kick, down-forward-low punch, lightning bolt, ice clone, the get over here spear, etc. and it all did what it did in the games to the point that you could put them side by side and compare them, so if that sucks to you, then you probably just don't care that much for Mortal Kombat, which means it wasn't for you anyway. What did 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' show on 58:05-58:14?... I never really watched the show & didn't understand it, so, that's why I'm confused as to the part of an episode that Tony was talking about.
Tony and Newt like to talk about movie's script problems while being careful never to go any deeper in their criticism, because saying a movie has "script problems" is the equivalent of person using the word "guesstimate" when talking about science. They vaguely remember hearing someone say something like that before, they don't know what it means, but they want to look like they know what they're talking about.
Newt was so drunk lmfao!!! Crystal had had enough 😂🤣😍🔥I was laughing my ass off at Newt especially when Crystal was getting annoyed by him continually telling stories. Also both costumes were badass but Crystal wins a bit more 🔥🥰.
That part when Bruce yelled "Harvey, I'm Batman" at the circus, I'd just like to say the movie might be more interesting and way ahead of its' time if they actually went the route of everyone at the circus hearing him say that. I would be SO much more invested in a movie where Batman finally has to oust himself publicly and deal with the repercussions of having everyone know while also still having to deal with The Riddler and Two-Face.
Newt, I feel for ya man. Tony, I'm super stoked you're gonna do alien3. Crystal, you must have more patience than every Saint combined to hang out with these dorks. You guys are awesome btw.
I have the glasses! As well as the promo pin set from the theatrical release, the trading card set AND the McDonald's fry packages (unused of course) a promo t shirt..This is one of the movies i really like to collect for.

Yes I still have my Batman Forever Mcdonalds glasses and my comic books. I also still have the cards. I really like the proto type costume that he uses after the Riddiler destroyes the entire Bat cave. I have to say that Val Kimers costume is amazing he was able to move around alot easier than that rubber bulky costume Micheal Keaton wore in the first two movies.
Who remembers the network primetime specials for the premiere of the Batman films? They did the history of the characters in the forthcoming film and behind the scenes footage too. Not to mention the dedicated magazine detailing the new film's production.
This movie takes me back to when I was working in a Boy Scout camp dining hall. Saw this at a local theater where they gave the camp councilors the Senior Citizens' discount of $3.75.
A small funny trivia about this movie (and that you guys probably won't care anyway lol): when this was released, there was a voice actor's strike going on in Brazil and because of that, the movie was initially dubbed in portuguese in a studio set in MIAMI, with regular non-actor brazilians they probably found on the street and even some americans who had strong accent but managed to speak portuguese somehow. This version aired for YEARS on brazilian TNT and it became some sort of meme back in the day.
When Tony is talking about how in The Dark Knight Rises, the law and order stops organized crime and allows Batman to quit. I just pictured Ice-T, from Law and Order svu, fighting crime in Gotham.
Yall could've gone on for like 3 more hours, and I wouldn't have been mad. I was 7 when this came out. I had 2 of the McDonald's mugs Batman and Riddler. I've been on a binge watch. Love these. What's up from Brooklyn, Jersey born.
Judging by all the tangents, I guess Newt should have sobered up first. Actually, Chase discovered Bruce Wayne was Batman when they kissed at Wayne Manor before the Ridder came in. Also, I think that Two-Face did the multiple coin flip just to justify shooting Bruce in the head to the Ridder
Brad Dourif as scarecrow would've been so good. Good show, keep em comin Tony & the gang. Looking forward to a3. Beware the Newts worst link! Pretty horrific man.
I read Disney Adventures all the time when I was a kid. It was great and definitely more of a 90s pop culture magazine rather than a strictly Disney magazine. I love Batman Forever. I have siblings who are younger than me, and so the lighter Batman shows and movies (i.e. Batman '66, Batman: The Movie from 1966, and Batman Forever) were dominant in my house. Chase did figure out that Bruce Wayne is Batman earlier in the movie. When she and Bruce are in Wayne Manor just before Two-Face and the Riddler show up. They kiss and Bruce kisses her the way he kissed her as Batman when he went to her place at midnight, which is how Chase realizes they're the same person (exactly like how Mary Jane figured out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man in the 2002 Spider-Man movie). Which is why she doesn't react when Bruce starts fighting Two-Face's goons a few minutes later.
Tim Burton's action scenes were NOT bad. Unlike "modern" shaky cam-laden, 5-cuts-a-second, extreme long lens close-up, Saving Private Ryan shutter "action" scenes, you could actually tell what was going on. The final showdown with Joker's goons in the Gotham cathedral belltower was a particularly good action sequence.
Can’t tell if Tony is seriously annoyed with Newt throughout these episodes, but his and Crystal’s flustered reactions to his drunken irreverence and tangents are far more entertaining than quickly ending the fun to go back to chronologically recapping a movie. Let it flow yall, that should be this show’s “thing”, that chemistry and dynamic. 🤷🏻♂️
