And under that circumstance, he knows if the real King confessed, Silla would fall. That's why he said he is the King, to safe Aro, the King and Silla. That's what I think.

I don't think it's 100% for Aro, but mostly for her. He loved her brother dearly and told Aro that her brother was like a brother & mother to him-that means he was everything to him and he had every intention to keep his promise to keep her safe, add to that the fact he's also fallen in love with her. I think he is 99% sure that Jidwi is the King, but knows he is stronger and better prepared to defend Aro.

Haha people are frustrated that Seonu take the responsibility to act up as a king? Calm down. Timing isn't right yet for Ji Dwi to be revealed as Silla king. Seonu knew this too. Not only he act up to save Ah Ro and innocent people life. By now, he must knew that Ji Dwi is the real king, he acted up to protect him too. If Ji Dwi confess that he is the real king, he will be killed in no time and it will put Silla into danger. Don't forget that there's conspiracy to kill the king came from inside of the palace. Just my 2 cents. Let's just enjoy it till the end.
Taehyung did an awesome job! His role is someone who is cute, sweet, doesn't want to fight for his true bones title or fight, he thinks he has no courage but admires Seon-u for his courage & strength & thinks he's "cool". Han-sung (V's role), claimed he had no courage, but when the assassins came for Seon-u, he was quick to pull his sword to protect him and of course at the end...he showed his real courage...it was heartbreaking, but I can see V going into acting easily.

I was so angry because i knew that ahro would not die but the tension was who would confess? Ji dwi or sunwoo? because Sunwoo is the main lead he always have to be the hero so it was so clear that he would be the one ... Ji dwi wanted but was to late ...
SunWoo did it to protect AhRo and the people. v-v Perhaps the citizens reminds him of himself, powerless before the rich and mighty loser royals/higher ups. Perhaps he also did it for JiDwi, understanding he is actually the real king so he needs to protect him. But the again he probably did it because he thinks the king is not JiDwi so no King will step up to save AhRo and the people...
Instead of this scene I'd rather it be something where the King gains Seonu over and the two of them along with Hwarang plots the rise of the King. It seems everything before this scene was building up to such great character growth. They threw it all away in this scene. The character flaws in this scene for both of them is huge and doesn't get resolved later either. Makes the ending rushed.

argh to be honest i realy really expected Jinheung to confess his true identity but Sun Woo just had to be the party pooper n ruin the moment. i mean yes u can't stand to see Ah Ro getting killed in front of u but that doesn't mean u could recklessly just proclaim u r the king when u alr know Ji Dwi is the actual king! Poor Ji Dwi it took him soooo much effort to summon up the courage only just to be silenced once again immediately. i don't like this seriously. the queen should just restore him to his rightful throne!!! he's big enough to know how to protect the people of Silla and how the law n policies of Silla work! stop clipping his wings!!
