The flame coming forth from the top of that volcano looks like the flame from a propane torch. That is just beyond scary to think about. The earth has a giant torch burning out of it, and the people living there have every right to be anxious and upset. I am hoping to hear new information soon on the status of the people who have lost their homes. If you hear anything, can you please tell us? I pray for the people there. @Gutn Tog, I mentioned, on another channel, what you had said about using cold water. Apparently, according to some commentators, the lava in La Palme is of a very different consistency and therefore cold water would not work.
After information from a journalist who was part of the media group invited to go yesterday Oct 27th in the south zone in Las Manchas, it seems that it is very difficult to approach this zone and to circulate there (Las Manchas - south of Todoque - Puerto Naos and even Jedey) if you don't have permission.
It has got to be unnerving living there with that volcano active 24/7. The noise, the ash, the lava flows which are enormous. These people need to get to the east side of the island to get a break from it all. I hope they are sweeping ash off of roofs. It will cause roof failure. And auto and air conditioning filters should be cleaned. My best regards to all the folks on LaPalma.
Watching the people watching the spectacle of the volcano I can’t help but think this could be any time in history…so our pagan, uneducated ancestors were really no different than we are. We are all caught by the grandeur and danger of nature beyond our control.

I'm sorry, but it has nothing to do with the tectonic plates. The Canaries are located on a hot spot. There are a couple of theories about how these hot spots work. You can find a lot of information on the internet. Hawai archipelago is a similar case. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Roman, you've got the wrong end of the stick on the volcano source here. La Palma is above a mantle hotspot, not close to either the mid ocean ridge or a subduction zone. Read up on mantle hotspots! Enjoy your vlogs and hi to Nina too!
