The set that started it all for many people. We probably will never get a set like this again so well worth keeping if you find them. 👍
I so hope we get another set like this some time 👍 -CC
Fabulous upload BCC, information on point and well done. Stay safe all
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! It was fascinating hearing the stories behind the designs -CC
That's so interesting, I enjoyed that. Would be so good to find one of those rare aquatics in the wild!
Thanks! I think I'd pass out if I found one 🤣 -CC
The Olympic set a stunning set👌👍
It is such a wonderful set of coins 👍 -CC
The Olympics are a beautiful set of 50p coins, love them all.
It is a really exciting set of coins 👍 -CC
Brilliant video, nice to hear about the designers and their interpretations, well done CC
I found that fascinating too 👍 -CC
I had no idea there were so many. My fave is the badminton.. Very interesting video!
The Badminton design is really cool! -CC
Olympic coins are the best set to collect by far. I have the set you went through today (minus the last 2 🤣) plus 2 circulated sets and i would happily have more. My favourite coin is basketball. Such a clever design using the texture from an actual ball. Great video!
Very nice! The basketball design is one of my favourites too! -CC
Great info. Really enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Thanks! -CC
Sailing is my favourite olympic 50p
I loved the story behind the design on that one too -CC
Great video very interesting and finding out something new like the table tennis coin.
Thanks! I liked the ones that were almost not submitted haha -CC
Great video, love the shooting coin
It is a really nice design! -CC
Definitely going to check mine, great video full of info.
If you find an Aquatics with the lines over the face I'll be very jealous haha! -CC
Hi Christopher.
Very informative, some really great designs. Great video.
Thanks! It was fun learning about the designers -CC
Great in depth information Christopher, I enjoyed that 😁👍. My favourite design is Wheelchair Rugby .
Thank you! I really love the background on that one it makes the coin really unique in the set. Lovely seeing you in Cardiff too! 😁👍 -CC
I apologize for all the mentions about the canoeing coin paddle but in kayaking the athlete sits, as on the coin. In canoeing the paddler is on one knee. 🙃
Hahaha! No worries I think it's quite funny -CC
Great video as always Christopher, and thank you. But I can't help wondering about that lines on face Aquatics coin and the fact that no-one really knows how many were released. Surely the Royal Mint know. Why are they so sheepish about the numbers? 600? I mean, they have files, data, records right? So why don't they just tell us? Anyway, great video.
I absolutely agree and it confuses me as well. Other mints in the world are able to quantify similar releases but strangely not the Royal Mint -CC
Fab and informative, my favourites are all the ones people have nicknames for like fencing=(Stabby sticks)
Taekwondo=(Everybody was kung fu fighting 🤭
Great stuff Christopher & BCC 👍🏻
Yes haha! Trying to decode what coin they mean 🤣 -CC
Now let’s test your indifferent memory and recite them all in circulation order😂😂😂Great upload Christopher
Hahahahahha! My brain would melt 🤣 -CC
I have a complete circulated set of Olympic 50ps and an uncirculated collectors set in the.folder. With both sets I have the completers medallion. And very occasionally instill find Olympic Coins in change which I swap with friends
Very nice! The carded set is lovely to have -CC
👍👍👍👍👍😃
😁 -CC
I have this lovely carded Olympic set & a carded Blue Peter. Unfortunately I don't have a aquatics with the lines over the face 👍
That would be an amazing coin to get your hands on -CC
Great information there. 👏👏
Thank you! -CC
I love the taekwondo 50p, I found so many back in the day and still have one on my kit bag, thats before someone got me into collecting coins (but that's a different story 😁) brilliant video bcc what to give to relive a competition like this or just to collect coins from only a short time back. Happy days we can collect now 👍👍🥋🥋
It's a lovely design! I'd love there to be a competition to design a big set again! -CC
